Jean love, love the fact that you use colour more than you use patterns, the fact that these art pieces seem to evolve as you go, the colour, and the texture and scale and colour blocking with tiny little interesting elements, makes my blood sing. No rulers, what can I say, this is what I love to do, makes your work different every time. Thank God I saw the colour, and interesting panels, and clicked onto this, the first one was the Japanese bags, I said to myself, this person is a creative soul. By the way I love the balustrade (if that is what you call them in the US) on the stairs which feature behind you in some videos. I have been doing this for years, my sewing buddies, all think i am nuts, but I don't care, I need this to be a creative outlet for me. I even did an overlocker quilt, I love to add texture to my clothing by doing odd shaped tiny pleats where they go. I loved that your outfit matched the quilt. keep on trying new things, thanks for sharing.

I watch about a million quilt videos a month. I absolutely LOVE your technique (I gotta go get your book:). It is unique and I would never have been able to conquer anything so unique without your sharing your knowledge. I usually put something on the back of every quilt, and I use this often. Thank you!

Hi Jean, thank you for the wonderful tutorials on your free form quilt design processes and piecing techniques. Would you be doing a tutorial on color selections for your art quilts?

Hi Irene-Marie! We do not currently have plans with Jean to film a video about color selection, but we will keep it in mind!

Hi Jean. Just purchased your book but haven’t received it yet. Very excited to learn this process as I think I’m more of an abstract quilter. I’m curious how you did the beautiful quilt behind you. Are there traditional blocks of the white that you added slivers to. It is stunning.
