Love this. What a great way to use up strips and not have to mess around cutting the straight.

🙂 I always watch KZbin on my TV and there isn't a way to comment about the program. I love your technique. The quilt behind you, will now be one of my favorites. Your instructions and presentation was very good. I don't know how many times I have watched this, but I want to use this technique as part of my next quilt. Thank you so much for demonstrating this. While waiting for my sewing machine to come back, I'm rethinking my quilt to include your technique. When it is completed I will uploaded it for you to see. Thank you again for your presentation. I think it is a spectacular idea.

I love the bunny tails..a real eureka moment. Makes life soo much easier! I too love forms in Nature and have been searching for a way to incorporate them into quilts whilst getting away fro more formal block designs. Thank you again!

What causes my edges to pucker?
@whitneywilson75563 жыл бұрын
@@jonesla51 I’m not positive but I do know when you sew strips they should be done in opposite directions. One is sewed down. Turn it around and sew the next one. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the video. I’m wondering, why you don’t overlap the strip and cut them together so you have a perfect match. Ex: overlap 1st and 2nd strips and do the cut and then sew. Then, overlap the sewn part with the next strip, cut and sew. Is not necessarily needed to sew after each strip added, but just to keep the strip in order to match the cuts.

Hi Gigi, if you don't cut them at the same time, you can get a more exaggerated curve by making the seam allowances match even when the pieces you're sewing together don't naturally line up. Of course, there are lots of different ways to sew curves and make strip quilts! Do what works for you!

So many tutorials have the camera placement such that hands get in the way of seeing the technique.... unfortunately this the case here..... it was too hard to see her handling of the edges as she sewed....
