Sorry that's a misunderstanding she is a genius and he was happy that he was allowed to work with her.

No, her father, Hans Dulfer, was a musician in his own right. Candy is self taught, was in concert band and had a couple music lessons. She was already playing soprano sax at the age of 6 and started her own band Funky Stuff at age 14 (in 1984-- she hadn't even met Prince!) Candy was the opening act for two of Madonna's concerts in 1987. It wasn't until the next year in '88 that she met Prince. They're both geniuses, but I wouldn't go as far as saying Prince taught her. Later in 2004, they met up again and she toured with Prince on his Musicology Tour. They had parallel paths musically.

@@janeverse4555 yes! Thank you. Why are people crediting Prince for her talent?
@janeverse45556 жыл бұрын
@@ceecee8757 Because he was an american they think that he was the genius and the rest only musicians.

COOL is a song that is actually sung better by Chance than by Prince. The way Chance mimics Morris at "Let's do it then" is amazing. I guess Prince and Chance liked each other much. And that "Ah-ah-ah" at 3:30... wow!
