I’m so very happy to find this tutorial. I had to order the yarn online as no stores carry it in my area and it is gorgeous. Then, for some reason I can crochet doilies and Amigurumi in the round following written instructions but it seems no matter what written crochet shawl pattern I try to follow, the crochet instructions stump me but knitted instructions do not. Anyway, I was able to follow along with your video by stopping and starting it (too lazy to slow the speed) and now I’m ready to take off on my own. I’m crocheting my shawl with two skeins of “Red Sea” Red Heart Unforgettable and it is gorgeous. Thank you for the lovely video and for the written instructions. I also subscribed.

This is so beautiful. Finally! I've found the perfect gift for my beloved daughters. Thank you for the written instructions as it will help me a great deal because I had a very hard time trying to follow the camera in the repeat sections due to a rollover accident and damaged my optic nerve and my eyes couldn't keep up with the speed. I just had almost this exact idea last night! Thx for the video so I dont have to figure it out myself. How much of this yarn for a shawl? I have used this yarn a few times for other shawl designs and needed 4 skeins.
@nanascraftyhome2 жыл бұрын
So glad you like it! How large do you want to go for your shawl? For my scarf size of 54" x 28" I used 540 yards total.
@vanessabryce6 жыл бұрын
This is a pretty scarf! I am currently making it and believe there is an error on the printed pattern. On Row 4, it is missing the (sc, ch 3, sc) for the corner stitch. If following written pattern, you would be only having a sc in this stitch and then have problems with the next Row 5 when it says to repeat until corner ch 3. Hope this makes sense! I was stuck on Row 4 and watching the video helped me find this error. So there should be 3 (sc, ch 3, sc) in a row at the corner I think!

I have a shawl size about half completed, but the wingspan side curls a lot as if there are not enough stitches along that edge to make it lie properly.....is it made this way so it works better as a scarf so it curls around the neck? Hm....not sure I want to make it shawl sized if it's going to curl like this.
@nanascraftyhome3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, I am not sure what may be the problem - mine didn't curl excessively and I haven't had that complaint from anyone else. Can you send me a few good quality photos as well as close up shots of the ends. Perhaps I can help determine the cause. My email is nanascraftyhome@gmail.com.
