I LOVE this. It's been my favourite thing to perform lately. Purchase Tobias Dostal's Candyman directly from Theory11 here store.theory11.com/products/candyman

I whole-heartedly agree with your point about streaming instructions. In the old days, you'd get a DVD, so as part of your purchase, you would own the instructions too and, as you say, reference them any time. Streaming services/data issues/signal strength etc can all impact on the ability to stream - especially if the tutorial is a long one. In my view, if you buy an effect, you definitely should be able to download the tutorial.
@EverythingMagicPro99Ай бұрын
Not only that - there are still people in the world who have capped internet data usage. Streaming video can use a lot of data. It’s elitist and makes magic inaccessible for anyone outside of “first world” countries.
@darrenbane7804Ай бұрын
@@EverythingMagicPro99 Agreed. I have some screen capture software, so I use that to ensure I have "my own copy" of a tutorial for an effect I have purchased, but this has to be recorded in 'real time' whereas downloading from the likes of Vimeo etc happens much more quickly, and doesn't prevent you from doing other things with your computer, too. I think, as you've said, if somebody buys an effect, they should easily be able to get their own copy of the tutorial, not rely on having to stream it when they want to view it.

I agree. I live on a boat. Internet is very sketchy. At work I can download most effects I've bought and watch them later. With streaming it's a nightmare. Previous phone could do video capture. New phone doesn't.

Have been interested in this one for awhile. I also agree on the replacement candies, the pink one looks off to me.

Bought this a while back and the gimmick came apart within a few mins of playing with it. I know it’s an easy fix but I never got around to it, this is making me want to fix it and give it another shot
@EverythingMagicPro99Ай бұрын
Same with everyone I know who bought it BUT it’s a quick fix and it’s a great trick that’s very different to most other kinds of magic people see.
@kobewilson2655Ай бұрын
@@EverythingMagicPro99took a bit of fiddling to get the gimmick fixed but very glad I did. Incredibly fun and magical
@9freesolo25 күн бұрын
Can't you make the whole gimmick yourself within a few minutes?
@EverythingMagicPro9925 күн бұрын
@9freesolo yes. However, you cannot make the sweets that come included easily.

Have to agree re acronyms. Cliches really suck big time! Having carped, I have to agree with Scott re the effect, it’s really so magical. I would prefer downloadable tutorials, but can live with it. You can always record the tutorial on your iPhone as you watch it if you need to keep it.

Great review Scott! I’ve had my eye on this for a while. But hadn’t seen an in depth review till now. Thanks 🙏 Btw, what TLDR mean?
@EverythingMagicPro99Ай бұрын
Too long didn’t read. It’s internet terminology for “a short explanation” or a short “summary”. Glad you enjoyed the review. I’ve been having lots of fun performing it.

Agree 100%. I won't buy anything that has streaming-only instructions.

Not sure how I feel about this trick, I performed it several times but you start and end dirty, and I wouldnt perform it in strong lighting...
@EverythingMagicPro99Ай бұрын
That’s a matter of routining. There’s a get ready, but the way I perform it ends clean. As with most effects - it requires some thought and shouldn’t necessarily be performed out of the box with stock patter. The trick, gimmick and effect are fantastic. If people don’t add their own ideas to make it work for themselves, that’s not the fault of the product.
@jayfreeman93575 күн бұрын
I underestimated the strength of this trick, people actually messaged me how I did it lol on my social lol

Sometimes it’s easy to underestimate things. I’ve been performing this everywhere since buying it. It’s really brilliant.

Hi Scott. The gimmick is sleeping in one of my drawers because i cannot use this gimmick without flashing.. can you share a video of your performance with this trick please ? Have a great day
@EverythingMagicPro99Ай бұрын
A bit of practice and I’m sure you’ll be able to do it without flashing. Just have to be brave with this one. I don’t have any recordings of performances. I perform at real events where I discourage people from filming as they’re not enjoying the magic if they’re experiencing it through a phone.

Breaking gimmicks, bad angles, only 3 candies, no downloadable instructions. How is this your top trick?
@EverythingMagicPro99Ай бұрын
Because it’s fun to perform, it’s novel and it’s getting good reactions with people.

Sorry but I wish you would stop using “TLDR” it’s starting to grate on me. It doesn’t make sense using it on every review and you use the acronym too many times in each review. “EDC” is starting to bug me on reviews as well. There should be a world wide ban on acronyms! Just say it in its full. Apart from that…..nice review. 😊
@EverythingMagicPro99Ай бұрын
Lots of people like the TLDR. Unfortunately it’s impossible to please everyone. Running a KZbin channel has taught me that no matter what I do people will complain, so I may as well create the videos in the style I want to create them. The amount of lies people create around my reviews is crazy. People I’ve never even met or spoken to talking absolute nonsense about me 😂
