There are some great blues guitar players who can do unlimited creative solos on a very small area of the fretboard by bending and sliding notes and playing them in a variety of different combinations and rhythm patterns. This is analogous to what GM Robaina does in just giving a few examples with one movement and how it could apply in tactical situations that you’d have never imagined/ (the explanation of the “Shoulder Draw at 6 min 40 sec. is a great example, and this is but one or two of many MORE applications just for that singular movement alone). I have attended 4 of Joe's immersion seminars and each immersion is an ENTIRE FRETBOARD full of combinations and permutations that are literally masterclasses in tactical options that you would have never thought of, and I/we all exclaimed (OMG, “aha”). As one memorable caner put it in a past immersion seminar, your brain is completely full after the initial two hours on the first day! Part of the beauty of American Cane Self Defense (ACSD) is not only experiencing the specific training, but the education into the awareness of how to look, see and apply …but that you’re literally taught “how to fish,” not just given the meal. Returning to the music analogy, Joe covers in the ENTIRE movement fretboard like a great musician - he’s a body musician who plays kinetic chords, melodies, and improvisations.
