Saúl “Canelo” Alvarez offers his take on early criticism from fellow Mexican boxing great Julio Cesar Chavez and says that - generally speaking - Mexicans should do a better job supporting each other. The world boxing champ looks back on what he calls the hardest moment in his life and details the advice he shared with his brother, after helping him prove his innocence in the face of murder charges.
#CaneloAlvarez #Boxing #Mexican

dont let this man's moment of hurt influence your reality. Mexicans talk a lot of shit, but at the end of the day they ways take in people either their own or other races. Think about all the people who come from the other side and the ones here alwaya find a job for them, buy what they're selling, or help them out by other means. We have bad ones, but as a whole we're known for our unity and you can't say that about other latin countries.

I think I get what your saying correct me if I'm wrong. But in my case I'm Born in the u.s with both parents being mexican (i hate saying mexican american, it lessens me as an american citizen) and I've noticed the ones not born in the u.s try to make us "Mexican-American" seem like lesser employees and to some degree, leaser men. They says we work less, less harder, and always complain. My first job this lady from guerrero told me this while she was sitting down on her ass on the phone while I was grilling. My uncle says the same thing all the time, so if that's what you meant i can see totally see that and they so talk down to other mexicans to a certain degree. KZbin doesn't let us write our thoughts in a clear manner lol being so short, my apologies.

I have so much respect and admiration for canelo and his work ethic and the way he carries himself. He’s right. Mexicans don’t support each other. It’s sad as a collective that humans are racist, it’s even sadder that there is racism between countrymen....

That’s the mindset my dad always tried to show me. Would make me work with him around the ranch etc. I Hated it but now that i’m older you realize how much of a good person, just simply knowing things like that. Beliefs like that is exactly what my dad and many hispanic people preach, it’s bad ass knowing by having like positivity, and just having that mindset helped him get to where he is.

When one goes to war, we all go to war. Look at us Irish. When conor fights our country stops. We follow and support our stars. Katie Taylor is best female boxer ever and is adored here. If canelo was Irish the love and support he'd receive from us would be insane

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard if that was true why are mexicans always buying his ppv? If they hated him why are the stadiums always filled with mexicans? He is just made because boxing analysts in mexico hate on him. Also the fact that he was connected to televisa is another sore spot for mexicans.
@alexander1902
@alexander1902 3 жыл бұрын
@@latuya5887 he meant as other athletes and entertainers. Mexicans as fans will always love one of their countrymen, but the same does not apply for individuals advancing in their professions. Sort of like if Marquez were to diss Canelo just because Canelo is having success in being independent. Instead of being proud one of his countrymen is making it he chooses to hate on him. Just an example, I think they actually get along.
