Logically De La Hoya is the best boxer of all time. He beat Chavez Sr, and that was even though Chavez was a full decade older and therefore had more experience, and Canelo has enough wins to be considered a top ten boxer, considering he's defeated 66 of his opponents and knocked out 39 of them, while De La Hoya had 39 wins, but it just so happened to be that De La Hoya didn't have as many fights as Canelo did. Hypothetically, if Oscar were to have had more than 70 total fights, he could've won most of them, and if he has 7 losses on his record then it could be that those opponents were more challenging than the opponents of Canelo. Also, Oscar was still really young when he beat Chavez; Oscar got even better as he practiced his boxing more, and now he'd be able to beat any of the 7 people he lost to initially. Canelo's definitely one of my favorite boxers but I think Oscar is the greatest all time boxer.

If this guy name wasn’t Chavez he would have never had the opportunity to fight against champions. This is clear evidence of the fact that most fights are not based on the quality of boxers but rather the hype that may surrounds them. this guy is a decent boxer has a big heart (who will take such punishment during 12 rounds?) but that’s all, he’s dad should have never lead his son into such obvious situations and beatings. So many beatings can break you not only as a fighter but more importantly as a man, really sad to see that. You don’t do this with your own blood, I can imagine that his son didn’t want to disappoint him of course but this show a lack of love for me, I wouldn’t let my child take such beatings for what? Chavez Sn was a great boxer I don’t believe he’s a great man

Lo malo que tenemos los mexicanos, es que nosotros mismos tenemos prejuicios o no valoramos a las nuevas generaciones. Por ejemplo, cuando falleció Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete muchos dicen que no habrá nadie mejor que ellos, después Javier Solis, muy buen cantante que en su momento no lo valoraron por el motivo que he comentado. Después llegó Vicente Fernández, que también lo rechazaron porque querían alguien "igual" a su ídolo Javier Solis, etc, es decir, la gente valora solo a los que ya hicieron historia, pero aunque exista alguien que lo hace muy bien o incluso mejor, no lo aceptan, el subconsciente no los deja, sienten que al reconocer a otro estarían traicionando su lealtad a su ídolo anterior. Lo que realmente la gente no entiende, es que nadie va a ser igual otro, cada uno será bueno en su estilo o género, está muy mal compararlos , además las modas, estilos, técnicas, etc, van cambiando y evolucionando con el tiempo. Hay que saber eso y reconocer en su momento a quien este trabajando y haciendo su mejor esfuerzo sin quererlo comparar de manera "igual" a sus antecesores.
