This is an interesting match up.. I refuse to believe Kov is done. He won that 1st Ward fight and was losing for sure on points in the 2nd bout till he was hit repeatedly with low blows. The Eleider Álvarez Tko loss was (somewhat) of a fluke I believe.. When I watch that fight (to me at least) he under estimated his opponent and tried to get that dude out of there hella quick with nothing but power shots, but it backfired! Eleider got pop and was well prepared and took some big shots and kept coming. I knew Kov with a better approach would win the 2nd time around..Kov then went on to get a Tko victory against Yarde in the 11th. The point is,, I think Kovalev is still highly highly dangerous and can win this bout and may even stop Canelo... The problem is Canelo is pretty fast, super crafty, throws lots of combinations, gots great defense/footwork and just might slap Kovalev around for 12 rounds....Fun fight!

@@Zen_Power Great job by Canelo. I don't know what Kovalev was thinking with that pitter pat jab fest all night. Bizarre. Kept expecting him to change gears and up the force on his shots and he never did. He was basically just touching him with those jabs and most were just bouncing off Canelo's gloves and he seemed fine with it and never changed strategy. I gave Kov the first 2 rounds and one other thst Canelo took off. But started thinking how can you give any of these rounds to Kov with that sparring garbage he's tossing out. Anyway, Canelo ended it.

Canelo knew what he was getting himself into when he took the fight against Kovelev don’t make him come in at a certain weight so you can have a better chance at beating him.
