In truth, I’m bored of Canelo. There hasn’t been a sense of jeopardy in his opponents for too long. The one guy at 168 we all want to see he’s ducking. Great career, but not a fighter I’m gonna watch a PPV at 3am for.

Canelo understands the game and being the golden goose there is no more room for error, I truly believe the Benavidez fight will happen where Canelo loses going out on his shield, if Canelo can beat Bud next May and Benavidez somehow wins the titles at light heavyweight, we will get Canelo vs Benavidez at light heavyweight next September for undisputed

Canelo definitely changed mindset, Bivol was a reality check but nothing wrong with that, he had a go. But catching Bivol full-force and not even rocking him (as happened with GGG) must have made him think. And it does; there seems a forgotten Conor Benn interview where he admitted he won't fight Jnr at 160 for same reason, he knows he can't carry enough power against someone strong at the higher weight (not that it applies in all cases of course). A pity we'll never see Canelo - Benevidez.

lol people love to criticise Canelo yet he has the best resume in boxing and has literally fought 20+ well known top 10/15 fighters consistently, with no bum fights apart from maybe Yildrim (mandatory) and Fielding, over the last 11-12 years , all these other guys have like 1 good win max and a load of bums. 😂 Ortiz was the champ, Guerrero was the wbc interim champ and ranked 8th on the pound for pound list, berto was the mandatory and at least earned his shot and was the wba interim champ and a two time welterweight champion.
