One thing to note about that boring 2003 WCF, the final score was 9-1 Anaheim. Minnesota set the record for least amount of goals scored in a single series and I believe that series set the record for lowest combined score.

I like this history series. Good watch! Suggestion for imo a watchable video: Rank the SC final series. The Anaheim - NJ was a boring one. Please go through the final series from entertainment value, in your opinion. Should be interesting to see eras and teams which were 'more watchable'.

@@mjk06 Dave Lewis was handed the job because he had been Scotty Bowman's bench coach, and, they naturally assumed there would be a seamless transition. The ugly truth was, he couldn't coach, AT ALL! The fans of the Red Wings were spoiled rotten, and, expected to win the Cup every year. Little did they know that within a decade their magical ride would come to a screeching halt.

I remember being so mad at Detroit around that time. They had gotten rid of Osgood who could've picked up for Cujo. As a Canucks fan, this was one of the most heartbreaking years I can remember. Cloutier's meltdown vs. the Wild in Round 2 was the ONLY thing preventing them from a Stanley Cup Finals appearance. I think the Canucks could have handled the Ducks easily in Round 3. They had a perfect team, save for some seriously spotty goaltending. Still don't understand why Crawford didn't try the backup (was it Auld?) at least once in that series.
