Couldn't agree more with you guys! i'm expat living in JKT for 2 years...usually go to Kuta, Ubud, Seminyak,Uluwatu...just last week, my very first time trying to stay 2 nights in Canggu..this is so amazing! oh my god! (i've should discovered your vdo about this area for a very long time!) they have everything, so vibrant area, cafe, restos, beachclubs, gyms...i feel more alive there and now it becomes my top spot when go to Bali. I really want to be Digital nomad and live there. this place is so cool. Thank you for sharing this. I must enjoy more Indonesia, Bali, and discover this area before i'll be relocated to another countries.

I am really hoping to get there next month! The problem is Indo is still requiring vaccine. I have Proof of Recovery certificate, which is so good that other countries do not even require PCR if you have it, but Indo does not even recognize it. My doctor said it is not good to get vaccine with my antibodies so high from recent recovery, so I hope Indo will start taking Proof of Recovery certificates soon.

As Indonesian remote worker who lives in Bali, I would say if you are foreigners and earn 2k per month, you can live comfortably in Canggu and that's even you still can save some. Of course if your lifestyle is not too crazy with night out and eat in fancy restaurants every day. At least you mixed with local foods and western foods. You can find accommodation from USD 200 for room only with ensuite bathrooms until even 1k per month for the luxury ones.

Stayed in Canggu for 9 weeks, I miss it so much. I stayed by the Amo Spa, and Dues Ex Machina store so it was very busy and noisy. Really miss Warung sika. Thats the best $3 i ever spent. Bottega, Avocado factory, and Canteen were my favorite lunch spots other than sika. For the most part, i didn't really leave the Batu Balong area at all other than some trips to Uluwatu beaches/clubs. Also I understand why you guys would choose that area to live. The infrastructure, roads, and traffic made it impossible to get around quickly so great advice! I didn't rent a scooter cause I don't trust myself so just Gojek everywhere. Great video! Makes me miss it so much more. Maybe i'll move there permanently if i grow some balls. Please post more!

But I didn't know Canggu. What Canggu Amazes me Is the growing of International Comunity of Internet Nomadic Lifestyle in an area of beautiful panoramic view. I am dreaming to be on Canggu soon !!

We are hoping to stay in a villa (looking at Sanur and Canggu---dividing our time). Do you still recommend we wait to book till we get there? I am terrified of having nowhere to stay! We are looking at June/July of 2023.

Cangu is very nice, but I think it’s a matter of personal taste about where is the best place to live. Ubud is very different and has a lot of good points too. However I’ve opted for the e much quieter Lovina where I can have a beach front property with a pool, and no traffic:). Certainly too quiet for young people though 😀
