As a musician, i could never imagen what its like to lose a limb. I back in 2006 had severe surgery done on my spine for a very serious type of scoliosis. I actually thought i would not be able to drum again due to having lack of mobility. Even had been told there is a small chance you may die, or become paralyzed. I am just so thankful the doctors took good care of me, and im thankful you were the one who jumped in and saved this mans life. He is able to still enjoy playing music even with a missing arm. He may not have been able to enjoy that had you not been there to administer first aid, you saved his life, and allowed him to keep enjoying what he loves and sharing it with people who love and care about him.

You know something, you can literally get a prosthetic arm, something to take the real arms’s place instead of living your life now without a right arm, but that’s your decision

I taught myself how to play drums in my early 30s. I had a blast playing in my basement for about 5 years to loud pop and rock hits! I also took a few lessons and tried my best to do "rolls", but never quite got it for some reason. I have my two arms and I still I couldn't do with two arms what Jack just did with one!. Wow!!! You are phenomenal, Mr T! I'm certain you are, and will, be a huge, huge inspiration to so many people who listen to you and also watch you play. Take a bow, Sir!!!!!!!! You earned it! Well done!

I'm a multi-instrumentalist but primarily a drummer. Been drumming for over 20 years (I'm 28) and I've followed Jack on Instagram for a few years now and my biggest fear is losing a limb. This man is an absolute inspiration. Well done for everything you've done and continue to do Jack!

I think you're right. Plus, Rick played on electronic drums mostly, which some drums or pedals acted as triggers to change the sounds. Jack did this on an accoustic kit! He would be a great drum teacher for anyone, especially children!

just because he lost his other arm doesn't mean that he can't drum. just because you lost your voice from cancer doesn't mean that you can't talk. just because you lost your hearing doesn't mean that you will never ever be able to hear again!!!!!!! what I am trying to say here is that with good nothing is impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God blessed him with his gift when he was born just because he hit a very tragic roadblock God doesn't take his gift back. With that said it was this young man that had the strength to move Beyond what would have caused most people to give up. Bless his courageous heart.

I totally agree with you, Nathan. It's not what we accomplish in life that determines our character, but rather "under what conditions did we accomplish it!" Example: Driving an SUV from St-Johns, Nwefoundland to Thunderbay, Ontario, in 29 hours is one thing. But walking that distance, on one leg like Terry Fox did, is totally different! Same accomplishment, different conditions!

@@daveymorgan909 This is what I absolutely love about these talent shows! For some, to stand on stage, with judges looking at you, let alone an audience and TV cameras, is terrifying!! But they do their thing, which can change their whole world, inside and out! Plus the support they get from comments etc is encouraging to them. Mostly, they send a message to all of us: "Look! I did it! YOU CAN DO IT TOO! Go after your dreams! You'll be glad you did! Love it!! :)

I think it's a three years old video. He played duality by slipknot on drumeo channel and its absolute banger. Most drummers can't even play this song with two hands and he absolutely smash this with one hand 😃
@Jaggerbush11 ай бұрын
This guy is actually much more talented than what he choose to perform. I get it that he wanted to do something with mass appeal but it really isnt that difficulty a song and he can do so much more challenging stuff.
@elgojokun Жыл бұрын
his left arm must be JACKED
@Catalystresource Жыл бұрын
That was incredible with one arm but I'm wondering with today's technology if there is some kind of prosthetic he can obtain where he can have at least some use of his other arm. Of course there are but I don't know if they would be effective for playing music. imagine for drums more than guitar which requires a lot more fine motor skills.
@justinsmith8628 Жыл бұрын
The main issue with current prosthetics is the ones that would assist with drumming typically require the amputation to be below the elbow, not above. Unfortunately, that means they aren't a fit in this situation. It's possible that prosthetics in the future that can be controlled by the brain rather than muscle movements may allow this. Fingers crossed that happens sometime soon!
