Well in reality they are not brother and sister. They grew up together. But this particular scene is his grandfather gave him a hallucination drink to make him see what could happen if he killed her love. Obviously he was not the person who killed her love.

In Asia, you are siblings even if adopted. Her dad is a demon or King Hao ling as step dad. To asia, even if you are not blood related, bc her mom is an adoptive sibling, it counts as a sibling which is why he's in Anguish of falling for his "cousin" of his adopted aunt. I call my uncle's wife's nephew cousin even though there is no blood or in law relation, but it is a title we use for status.

This is the worst c drama series I've ever watched 🤐. So much conflicting emotions it's triggering and unstable for your mental health! It's fine to make sacrifices for love and to go through hardships but for lost you forever three men go through the hardest hardships for the same love what kind of plot play is that? What's the lesson then? Also the story starts with two children being separated by fate later even her lovebug unconsciously chooses the brother because he's always been her true love, so how comes they don't end up together? This story has no straight moral story it's actually all over the place. Look at Xiang Liu he was so invested and sacrificed a lot but for ❓ To me Xia yao is confused and confusing everyone it's not an ideal play. Period.
