I never felt that the girl ever loved anyone else other than Xiang lu 😀 she does love him but doesn't want to asmit it because she's scared of abondonment, to be left alone....which is what drove her more towards Ye Shiqi aka Tushan Jing , because he is CALM, COMPOSED yet romantic enough but in fact HE IS A COWARD too. All she needs is a guy with absolute attachment with her and nobody else nothing else but in reality nobody can give ot to her, she knows that too😅....besides Xiang lu keeps pushing her away!!! She does feel sad when he sees her off....but Xiang Lu is like " if you can feel you feel, I'm not gonna romanticise anything for you 😂😂😂" . On a serious note He knows that in future she'll be left heart broken and he doesn't want that so he keeps staying hurt but doesn't show her his real feelings or doesn't demand the love he actually wants from her.

His entire heart wants her love but his mind tells him it will make her suffer and therefore he won't ask for it. It is her fear of being abandoned that keeps her from telling him she loves him even though she does. She told him he is not the kind of guy that should be in a girls dreams but her heart yearns for him nonetheless.
