Thank you, sir, for watching and your kind words. Although I do try to keep my reviews as short as possible, I also realize that most gun consumers want as much information as possible on a firearm to make an informed purchasing decision. I strive to provide that. I just take a different approach than most gun reviewers.

I am a Canik-fanatik. I own 6 different models. Out of them, this one is my very favorite. Why? Because I shoot the tightest groups with my *METE SFT PRO.*

Do you own a sfx ? If so how does it compare to the sft pro ? Is the sft pro just as good ?

@@JustPopz1 Thanks for watching and for your question. No, I do not own a SFX. I sure would like the METE SFx in the stable, however. I just have no need for a threaded barrel and the SFX is essentially the SFT Pro without the threaded barrel. I would have to assume that the METE SFX would be as good as the SFT Pro in this review. High quality for a good price.

I’ve got a few Caniks.. They were my first firearm purchases and they are exceptional pistols. The SFT Pro is superb. Slightly better trigger than my PDP Pro, just wish it was metal. Tricking this one out with a lot of chrome/aluminum accents. Looks amazing, almost want to put it on display! For me, Canik and Walther and I haven’t needed to look further (except for an RIA 1911 ;)

Just now came across your review and it was a clear slow pace unlike others. Truly like your style of introducing & explaining the pistol ! 👍 I am not familiar with Canik and do have other brand pistols , so I decided to maybe purchase the mete sft & put an Holosun optic on it. I found one with a price tag of $419.00, so I am kind of considering it. Again , truly enjoy your great video on this Cank pistol , well done ! 👌

Happy that you found the review. The SFT Pro not only looks good it shoots good. It would perform well with or without an optic. I do like to put detail in my videos, as I think that someone who might be interested in the firearm that I am reviewing would appreciate knowing fully about what they are considering to purchase. Glad that you liked it and will come back.

Thank you for your reply ! Do you think the Canik METE SFT will shoot as well as the Canik Pro ? Is the difference between the two , the threaded barrel & length ? Yes , I have subscribed to your channel ! 👍@@RangeRoninChronicles
@RangeRoninChronicles
@RangeRoninChronicles 10 ай бұрын
@@tedm4932 I appreciate your subscription. There are differences between the SFT and SFT Pro, but it really depends on if those difference make a difference to you. Of course the barrel length is different due to the threaded barrel of the PRO. The 4.93 barrel of the SFT is not going to make any difference over the 5.0-inch barrel of the PRO. If the barrel end cap of the PRO is loose, you just might end up losing it. The sights are different; the PRO has a tritium sights front sight and blacked out rear sight; whereas, the SFT has a three-white dot system. The barrel receiver is black out on the SFT, but not on the PRO. The triggers seems to be the same and both are optics ready. I think that the SFT would serve you well. In fact, if I were to purchase a METE, the SFT would come home with me, simply because I have no use for a threaded barrel and the two-tone barrel receiver does nothing for performance, and I would have full-confidence in it without a threaded barrel and no two-toned barrel. I think that I covered 'bout everything important. This is just my observation between the two and I hope that helps you out.

Absolutely not. Not a waste at all. Most of my pistols have a threaded barrel, but I don't own a suppressor. It's not because I can't. I can have anything that I want where I live. However, I love compensators. I have several comps on my threaded barrels.

@RangeRoninChronicles
@RangeRoninChronicles Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for your comment. I am aware that no Canik incorporates a manual safety, nor grip safety that I am aware of. The lack of external safeties is just as reference to those pistols of this type that do have external safeties; Springfield Armory XD and Smith & Wesson, for example.
@Bill-jv5eg

@@RangeRoninChronicles , yes, I do have a Springfield Armory XDS because of the grip safety
@RangeRoninChronicles
@RangeRoninChronicles Жыл бұрын
@@Bill-jv5eg Right there with you; XDs in 9mm and .45 ACP, and XDm's in 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, and 10mm. My XDe, however, does not have a grip safety but does have a thumb safety. It all depends on the pistol as to whether I prefer external safeties or not. There are some that I would not carry without an external safety of some sort.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I agree with you - quality is quality. Some of the finest firearms have come from Europe, but you can't discount those products coming from other countries that are also quality builds. We, firearm owners, have come to expect a high degree of quality for the firearms that we own - or want to own. The Canik is definitely a quality product.

@@RangeRoninChronicles I loved it. Made me laugh. I am thinking about buying SFT Pro. Never had a Canik. Is the trigger too touchy or did you get used to it over time?
@RangeRoninChronicles
@RangeRoninChronicles 8 ай бұрын
@@allenhurst3176 You would like the Canik SFT Pro. I really hated returning it to my son-in-law. The trigger did take a while to get used to. I am not all that familiar with flat-faced triggers and the SFT Pro's trigger is very nice once I got used to it. For the money, with what you get for your money, and how the pistol performs, I believe that the Canik SFT Pro would serve you well. But don't just take my opinion as a final word. If your LGS has one, fondle one, watch other videos reviews of it, and read other reviews of it before you make a decision. But I do think that you would be well-satisfied if you decided to purchase one. It is an impressive handgun. And by the way, thanks for taking the time to watch the review and commenting.
