This is just a quick test and video of the Canik Rival and why you should test your gun. Not all barrels are the same. Not all guns like the same ammo. This video shows a new Canik out of box in a Ransom Rest. Gun was not fully broke in this is a reasonable expectation of what that gun may do.
What ammo does this gun like? What group size at 15, 25 or 50 yard look like. We did not test all ammo, but we did a fast test of various ammo. This was to give us a fast reasonable expectation of what that gun may do.
In this video we show the gun and ammo repeatability. You can also do this test. Remember we don't sell videos neither do we make anything on our videos. We only sell American made rests.
We start with a range ammo and go from there. We did this test months ago sorry it took so long to post.
Seems the best ammo was between American Eagle, Winchester and some Sellier Bellot. Watch video for weight and or ammo specifics. More comprehensive test are to come So, stay tuned for more info and more testing.
Is it me the gun or the ammo? Have you ever shot at a soda can at 15 or 25 yards and say? I can't believe I missed that. Can your pistol even hold under 1" at 15 yards? If it can't, it may increase your chances of missing.
Accuracy matters. Sure, many guns can do an occasional 1" or sub 1" group but can they do it repeatable. Some guns may have 3 or 4 rounds that group good once in a awhile but not all 8 rounds. And are they Repeatable 8 round? Again, and again. What ammo does the gun like? Is it me the gun or the ammo?
We are here to find out. We do not cherry pick the rounds or groups this is real true results in our videos in real environment. This is why you may miss that soda can. If you are not testing, you are guessing as they say. Please get a Ransom Rest do the test yourself.
First shots and groups shown here. No special formula no tricks out of box stock gun and stock ammo. Not all ammo or tests was shown this time, but stay tuned for more comprehensive tests,
Ransom Rest test are for repeatability. Many various types of ammo used to get a average base line of grouping.
Subscribe to channel to get notification, will add more tests and video soon. No special formula, stock ammo stock gun real world test in real world environment. You can do this test to.
What ammo does your gun like? What ammo do you prefer? Is it me or the gun? Ransom Rest helps you find this out.
We here at Ransom hopes this video will encourage you to look at our Ransom Rest. We hope this video will show you a clearly why Ransom Rest is the preferred way to test. We make nothing on our videos we only sell rests so please check out our rests.

This makes me feel so much better when I was sighting in my red dot with my rival with a rest I had some fliers that I thought that I was doing something wrong. Good to see that with a proper rest and some random velocity ammo you get some variation larger than what I assumed.

I'm glad to see you tested the HST out of the Canik. I EDC a TP9-SF-Elite loaded with the 147gr HST and that group was impressive. I would curious to see how a 124gr HST patterns in the Canik.

Have you tested a Beretta 92fs , I'd love to see how it does at 50yds , I think that was a requirement when they used to be contracted to the military.

Yes, actually we have tested the 92FS we have multiple videos. It is a great shooting gun and even still to this day. There is also a video comparing the 92 to the Sig P320 i belive 3 videos in total. including a side-by-side test. Obviously overall the 92 beat the P320 but the P320 did hang very close to it the whole time and manly including the 2nd round side-by-side test. There will also be a Langdon Tactical 92FS tested again in near future and we will absolutely do it at 50 yards so please subscribe to watch that video. Also, a couple 22s at 50 yards coming up very soon. The Ransom Rest was used when Berretta won the contract, and it was used when Sig won the contract recently in 2016. So, thanks for your comment and stay tuned for more testing. Including a video of the Berretta APX, we have had on deck since early 2015 2016 sorry for any video delays we stay kind of busy here. Any questions please let us know. We are her to help. Also may check out our Multi-Caliber Rest if you don't want a Master Series Rest.

@@Ransomrest ok , thanks for clearing that up , iv wondered if someone personally shot the 50yd requirement for the contract or if a test was used , because let's face, it would take a heck of a shooter to do 4" groups at 50 with a Beretta

Have watched a few of your videos but am a little confused on the distances you are testing at. I see a cardboard marked st 25 yards with no target. What distance are you first targets shot at. It would be helpful it you showed it on you videos. Some of your videos are 45 minutes long which is fine but I fast forward through some of the shooting to get to the results so maybe I am missing you mention some of the distances which is why showing the distances may be helpful and get you more subscribers, since watching the whole video is boring. The work you do is NOT BORING and very interesting especially the first shot info from a racked slide. What also may be good information is what guns do not have (if any) a racked slide flyer. Also from time to time most accurate gun summary.

So you are saying you want the data, but you dont want to watch long enough to get any of the data. You just want someone to just summarize it all for you. You just want to fast forward to see the shots or results only. You are missing key info like your barrel and gun will test differently, and your gun may like different ammo . No barrel is the same. You need to test your own gun. Thats if your life depends on it Distances were mentioned a number of times also in discrption 15 25 and 50 first was at 15. The second was 25, and the target was mounted after the first 2 groups, and the last was 50 yards.
