Probably already mentioned, but the texture on the lower was most certainly purposed... gives the hands a bit of something to grip for better overall purchase. Native co-witnessing with optic would be a solid Gen 2 update (cool it's on the plates though). Thanks for the review, proud Mete SFX, TP9SC Elite, and new MC9L owner here... looking forward to "needing" a Rival! Also thankful the magwell is removable, necessary for some competitions. I was interested in the Combat TTI till I saw the magwell was not removable... not the best call (Amazing package though!).

I have the Black version. A little too busy, but Canik did a great job with it. Has been very reliable without issues, thankfully. Mine came with the Mecanik optic. Some lok grips, and you're gtg. Canik also has a ton of accessories to customize this to your liking. Blessings 👍

The surface may be by choice. The cavity near the front rail under the 9x19 writing isn't, the visible line under the hump below the slide stop can be the lighting. It doesn't interfere with function. Afaik the first ones had a mag issue with the base pads but they fixed it.
