Canik TP9SF Elite Review

I was skeptical but after hearing such positive reviews, I gave it a try. Now if someone asks me about the Canik my reply is ... "buy it". The price is very reasonable. Excellent pistol.

@@graysonolguin5250 The issues have been addressed. Extremely reliable. The problem with there first released were the spring,as I understand it, it was too much tension because it was set up for a hotter Nato load. That issue has long been remedied.

At a pawnshop I found a mint SF9 9mm mag.. $5. You know, maybe now I'll buy the gun! Dave Spaulding is someone I have read in gun rags for maybe 20 years. He knows his stuff.

My model is a few years old, the TP9SA...I'm entirely pleased with it. 2550rounds &no hiccups of any kind. I certainly wouldn't be afraid to buy the SF Elite model shown here

I've been a Canik fanatic for some time now. It's been one of the best kept secrets in the firearm world. The barrel is a hammer forged match grade barrel. The sights are good and as you stated, the trigger is absolutely phenomenal for a factory trigger.

I love my TP9SF elite. When I was shopping I thought of the usual suspects but decided on the Canik because of cost. I don't regret a thing. This handgun has supplanted every other one and is my regular EDC. The trigger is incredible

Retail is $325, so no I would not pay 350, and 530 (you must have the wrong gun here) is really ridiculous, that's what you pay for an overpriced Glock. LOL

Finally!! Someone with common sense regarding bore axis! I have about 25 pistols and in reality there isn’t a whole lot of difference if caliber is the same , I don’t buy into the bore axis myth just practice practice practice!

Well, I got one and I can’t get though one mag with out problems. Double feed, ejecting problems no matter what ammo I use. Contacted customer service and within 2 hrs they are sending me a new spring and they tell me this will fix it. I believe it will as the spring is so strong. Hoping to carry this instead of my Glock for work because the trigger is amazing!!

@@jeffd3802 Newer one and the new spring did not fix anything. I have sent it in to let them check it out. Will post again when I get it back. They say 4 to 6 weeks. I believe I should of stayed with what I have and know works. Glock has never failed me!

Ok, I got it back a couple of days ago and finally got to test it out. Took them about two weeks. Gunsmiths comments were .. ( FTE/ replaced recall spring / hone and polish chamber. ) grab a box of same ammo I was having problems with before and filled up all three mags and it ran flawless!! 😉

Update on 1st time shooting the Canik TP9SF Elite (6/5/2019) ..... I gotta say it's a nice shooter, ran about 20 rds Hornady 135gr Critical Duty, 50 rds LAX 115gr fmj, 50 rds Fiocchi 115gr fmj ..... 100% functionality.

It’s a budget vp9. It’s alright short of sight and holster options. It was my first gun. I ended up trading it for a CZ P10C(which had its own issues). I actually have a vp9 now after a rental that let me put 3 bullets in the same hole at 7 yrds. The Canik isn’t bad, just know there’s limitations in terms of after market, but it’ll go bang.

Your wrong it's a ppq clone and it isn't just ok it's phenomenal gun for the price I own legion pistols so I know how higher end stuff feels. This gun is super underrated I can drill groups with this thing like you wouldn't believe there really is no gun that comes out of the box with a trigger like this besides the ppq and the p10c coming in 3rd

Hello there, first of all i love your videos, keep up the good work. I have a question, i just got my Canik TPS9 Elite-s today, i have seen so many great reviews on it i had to have one, i fired about 130 rounds through it and it jammed almost every other shot, the slide is so stiff i can barley pull it back, i am now reading about the strong spring in these and am wondering if i ended up with one of these models that hadn’t been corrected yet, my question is, is there a lighter spring i can get or can i just cut a loop off of the one i have and it work ok, look forward to hearing your input, Terry

R2COM They're Mec Gar mags. Same ones that fit in the Walther PPQ, and I think a certain Taurus that I can't remember the exact name of. You can find them everywhere online.

Actually, the Canik is an excellent cloning of the Carl Walther pistols. Yeah, "ugly"... like when Glocks came out and many gun enthusiasts puked because of its looks. See how that goes?
