My English Springer Spaniel is 10 weeks old and doing great! I love these enrichment ideas, I bought him the bob-a-lot but my friends dog destroyed it when they visited....such a fun toy though! I may get another one :) ill definitely be trying the bottle one! Thanks for the ideas!

I use the bob-a-lot to place some of Nyla's breakfast and dinner...when playing these games is the kibble or treats part of their meal or in addition to their meals...I'm concerned with overfeeding her?

Great question! Shredding is a natural canine behavior, we want to offer our dogs an appropriate outlet for this behavior otherwise theymay chose clothes or rugs when you aren't supervising them. This "Rag ball" is a great outlet for those that like to shred.

My Goldendoodle is scared of the Bobs A Lot. My schnauzer keeps demonstrating it, but Sugar is still afraid of it. She’s not usually timid or sound sensitive. Can you give me any suggestions? I’ve tried sitting in the floor and gently rolling it for her. Oh..she’s a very rambunctious 7 mo old.

I have an approximately 6month old lab mix rescue pup I adopted in February. I don’t think she had any real training except potty training. Been having trouble keeping her from pulling and bitting on the leash. She is spooky around strangers.

I tried the Busy Box this am. She ate some of the kibble but then ended up just playing with, chewing on and running away with the rags. Not sure this is a good thing...don't want her chewing on clothing etc...???

It works for some, and others it can become a safety hazard. Always supervise your pup's play to prevent them from ingesting the clothing. Another idea is to let them shred a head of lettuce!

Glad we could help! Most pups can start to eat solid kibble when they start to ween off their mother's milk. This happens typically at around 3.5 - 4.5 weeks old. For any nutritional advice, please contact your vet.

Yeah so my dog tries these for about 4 seconds and then bites me to make me get it for him... I try to redirect him to the toy but he literally just keeps biting me.. i can't do the ouch thing or stand up and turn away, doesn't work... can give him a relax time out in his crate but it doesn't make him any more interesting in the game.

This sounds like we need to work on the mechanics of the trianing games... hand palcement, reinforcment level and delivery location. PLUS recognizing when pup is over stimulated or too full of energy. You could leave your pup with a frozen Kong, which could help him/her settle down and rest while you are gone. We recommend that you meet his needs for exercise and enrichment before you go to work, so he's ready for a nice snooze while you are gone. I am going to bring home a puppy in 2 weeks. Before time time, I have an understanding that I need to exercise the puppy to get his energy out. But a lot of the exercises involve food! Would that not cause the puppy to have a poop at night? What are the exercises that do not involve food?

I got a bob a lot a while back, my pup loves it. It took him a bit to understand how to play with it so I smeared peanut butter on the outside. As he licked it, the treats started falling out. After a little while, he started nosing and pawing at it himself so he’s a pro now 😁
