Excellent presentation. I had a fair layman knowledge of Cushing Syndrome before watching your video, so that probably helped me understand where my little boy is now, and how to help him. I did observe a change in his personality when trilostane was not administered for about a week. (The lapse occurred due to what I see as negligence on the part of the vendor and I am taking steps to never deal again with them again. I have transferred my dog's prescription to PetSmart pharmacy, which appears to be significantly more responsive, and recognizes the importance of prompt filling and delivery of medications.)

My dog is losing not gaining weight yet she eats like a pig. You see her boney spine. Does the sound like Cushings? She is 11 lbs maltese mix. She did have Low Dose, which determined she had Cushings. Her cortisol crratine test also showed slightly elevated cortisol. Her only symptoms are, thinnimg hair. Extreme eating.

It could be hyperthyroidism, this condition can cause the symptoms that you're describing. The higher cortisol levels can be caused by a chronic stress, as she is coping with this disease.

Trilostane is extremely toxic. I took my dog off of it, changed his diet, got his ALP down to normal levels and he had no symptoms besides excessive hunger. If it wasn't for my vet causing more problems to the point I had to put him down he'd probably still be here.
