Excellent video..... What about "bite placement" ...? Is there any truth in "the sweet spot" is a bite just above the elbow ???

Hi Gus, thanks for your comment. Bite placement is important and the goal is that the dog is not avoidant of any area of the body. The most challenging bites, generally speaking, are core bites, "inside". All of this and more is covered in the series. Thanks!

The dog has a full committed grip on the suit. There is some tension on the bite as he is on a back-tie and the hand isn't threatening- the dog is on top of the decoy. The dog is where he was targeted to bite and he is committed to that bite- he is "winning". He is being praised by the handler and is performing as he is trained to in this scenario.

The helper reacts to the dog's actions to deepen his grip on equipment and the dog learns that driving into the bite elicits a response from the helper rather than the dog simply hanging onto the bite with no effort to improve his grip.
