I've tried to get into this game on several occasions, most recently playing with these guys (II Corps). Like all games, it's a lot more fun when playing with an organized unit but this game still has a long way to go to hold my attention beyond playing once every three to six months. It's basically a running and reload simulator. You get one or two good shots then run someplace else, reload, and die. You spend the next several minutes getting back to the front line, reloading, getting inline, get your one or two shots, then die and repeat. The maps are small and don't provide a lot of flanking opportunity (compared to a Squad or Hell Let Loose map) and the units are too similar. I would like to see each side with a sniper unit (two scoped rifles max) and a recon unit with repeating rifles (maybe five repeaters max). The ability to use combined arms with artillery, sniper, recon, and line infantry would at least change up the play style a bit.

I don't remember the map but there's one with a large bridge near the middle of the map and a large forest. I was on the union side and we brought the cannon onto the bride hoping to stop an oncoming charge that we knew was coming since our team was losing at the time. The newbie accidentally loaded the explosive shot Instead of canister. Let's just say it came to a surprise when the cannon ball hit their officer in the face and explodes in the middle of their charge killing him, the flag bearer and next to everyone involved in the matter of a single second.

War Of Rights? Don't forget the major one of those rights was the right to own other humans. In other respects the CS Constitution actually gave states fewer rights that the US Constitution did. Nothing against the game per se, but the DoubleSpeak cleansing of the history, as it has an effect in the real world today. I'm not saying all CSA soldiers went to war for slavery, nor that all USA troops fought for it's abolition, but without slavery there would not have been a war. Using the title "War Of Rights" attempts to re-spin this truth. Sorry to bring what might be perceived as politics to a game video but it's important.
