Absolutely that was a good video in the old apartment, I remember that. Round about the time that sim racing rig was in every other shot. And Z was a wee bit insecure and kept making fun of Doug, but it was a lovely video watching Hi-Fi friends hang out and do Hi-Fi friend things.

I agree about the Measurements, people who look at the line and just make a snap judgement are pretty much doing it wrong. I see it as window dressing. If I see something I like the look of, i'll try to check it out or look at reviews. But I will never see a line and think.. 'that's an instant buy'

53:59 Zeos is the best in showing the product and making you understand how it is (and feels) to operate it. This is such an underrated part of reviews and a big part of my buying decision. Actually Z is sort of the only reviewer who really spends a lot of time on it.

Why does Z get so much default hatred? Listen, he is a hero in many ways, and yes being absolutely serious about this, he has popularised this hobby and made it accessible to everyone through his magnetic persona, and I think he does pretty well at balancing fairness and honesty. Give him a break, especially when he is bringing all this stuff to us, optionally for free.

In fact here is another thing, see out of all of the different channels and reviewers out there, at least I understand how his ears sound the best, not saying he hears like me, but I now know how to account for the difference between how he hears and how I do, and the importance of that cannot be stated strongly enough. Then you can account for the difference and get a better idea of how something sounds.
