Agreed with Ringo, my son is a CBC, speaking English and Cantonese at home, French at school. Eventually all languages are good. 鍾意看你們 phone-in, 鼓勵大家來🇨🇦,生活+學習好快適應到😊

有次一家人去 Costco，有個應該係歐洲嚟嘅伯伯突然同我地吹水，佢地問我地邊度嚟，我地話我地香港嚟嘅，然後佢話佢歐洲某國家嚟 (唔記得邊個國家)，佢鼓勵我地要多多同小朋友講返自己母語，佢話自己啲仔女同孫仔女已經唔識講佢原居地語言，覺得好可惜。我又睇過一個 facebook 分享，有個人去睇醫生，醫生同佢分享返，自己係移民二代，除左自己名同數字，唔多識廣東話，佢媽媽老人痴呆，開始唔識用英文同佢溝通，個醫生覺得好後悔唔好好學廣東話，而家同自己媽媽溝通唔到，媽媽有病有乜唔舒服佢聽唔明，鼓勵樓主要教小朋友講廣東話。所以我諗又唔使咁極端話唔好喺屋企同小朋友講母語，喺屋企講返自己母語其實係好正常不過嘅事。進一步學唔學中文我覺得要睇小朋友應唔應付到，同埋有冇興趣，英文鼓勵佢地睇多啲書儲返多啲字詞量，呢啲都好睇父母點教，亦都要睇小朋友語言天分。

Encourge your children (and yourself) to explore wider, accept challenge and participate in volunteer work. The result is much higher than your expectation and benefit to their future growth. No problem cannot be solved.

以前安省中學是grade 13 才畢業，所以grade 10 入讀至畢業入大學，無須托福試成績，現在須要，因安省現在是grade 12畢業，所以grade 9 入讀才避免托福考試成績。

小城鎮很多教學助理職位，可同時了解這兒的教學氛圍，不失為行stream B的好方法。在香港已有教學文憑的，在這兒也被承認(起碼緬省是，其他沒研究不知道) 其實做助教，可先入職才讀網上的助教course. 有教育文憑的根本不需再讀助教course.

肥Sam做好人點醒左Ryan. 年青人有時太過自我，睇唔到自己缺點。其實試用期係最危險的時間，要學習點manage your boss, 要主動，要攞performance benchmark ，公司愈細又或者好強的微觀管理文化，容錯率愈低。

Phone-in 2 呀Cha, of course go stream B is better, go try find a job in Toronto. Many private tutorial Centre or Private School offers, if lucky he may find a relevant job, like those Montessori School, they will hire him right away. The owners of the school may sponsor him to apply resident status in order to hold him to stay with them. 不需要擔心，這邊私立學校，教學方式跟一般教育局相近，但自行選科教育、無學生年齡規限，優生可跳班，公校一定要！ Phone-in 2, 好簡單，如果朋友識幼兒教學，他本身可以自辦幼兒兼小學私校，考一個辦幼兒教育牌，就可以，請幼兒老師，幼兒助理，就可以成行喇！經營不難，這些Montessori School 非常受歡迎，因為父母要上班！

I prefer encouraging kids speak in mother tongue at home. They won’t be poor in spoken English. Never never poor in English. Let them be free in communications. They can tune anytime with no questions. My son aged 6, sent him to French Immersion public school. The syllabus of FI is mainly on French learning from Grade 1 to 2, grade 3-8 will on 2-streams both French and English. They can adjust themselves anytime at school. Let them learn one more language is fine from small. Have a friend also coming from HK, they registered them Saturday 1/2 day language school about 1.5 hours in Simplified Mandarin. The boy can listen and speak quite well French and Mandarin. Of course English is good.

Presentation is very common in Canadian studies. Starting kindergarten…the kids trained to do presentation or so called Show and Tell. Encourage kids to bring their stuff no matter what stuffed toys or any vehicle toys. Let them present what the kids would like to share in public. It’s very true that entering university or college is easy but very demanding after 1st year. Some of the students will quit coz their academic results are way behind the requirements. Somehow will change their desired faculty. Luckily will be graduated after hard working.
