Hi John, Canada is leading the world in multiculturalism. Canadians in general are very embracing with other cultures. My colleagues know where to go for best vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Middle East and South Asian cuisines much better than I do! Canadian constitution is seriously protecting people from violation of human rights and suffering discrimination in this nation. I rarely see any native canadian making fun of accents of colleagues in my workplaces. So, don't restrain yourself from valuable opportunities on having small talks with your friends. That's the best way to get you into the mainstream. Languages do take time to learn. Don't give up! Freedom is invaluable! 💪💪💕

It is not that you are taking advantage of others' resources. A lot of others are doing same if you don’t do it. You are competing with the rest of the world, the best as well as the worst. Go with the flow if it is a government policy and if it benefits you. Do it as an experience or as an adventure. And don't take it too seriously.
