I am in music heaven! I have been a fan of tis band for a long time. You cannot go wrong with Canned Heat and friends.

I loved Canned Heat, but never felt they were quite the same after Blind Owl Wilson died. Gatemouth Brown used to shop at the WD supermarket in Slidell, LA where I worked overnight in the 90's. We used to see him 3 or 4 times a month. He would come in at 3:00 o'clock in the morning. He had an old black Cadillac limo and a white chauffeur. He was still playing clubs in the French Quarter every week. He had a really nice camp on Lake Pontchartrain near the Rigolets. When Katrina came he and his chauffeur evacuated to Texas. His camp on the lake was completely destroyed. His chauffeur came in the store a year or so later, and said the news of his home being lost was more than he could bear. The old man died shortly after that in Orange, TX.

Mr. Gate Mouth was a 3 headed beast of musician. Thought I maybe knew something about him before this video, but the fiddle playing puts him up in the all-timer category.

There's a good album that Gatemouth played on with Professor Longhair "Rock 'N' Roll Gumbo". He plays guitar on most tracks and a couple playing fiddle

Do you think John Lee Hooker would have played with guys he thought were stealing from him? He would have broke open a beer bottle and invited the band to leave…instead, things like THIS happened kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4unY5iHepesppYsi=mmxbVnCVqgKvxyHS
