Cannes 2024 Review - FLOW

I saw Flow at the Leeds International Film Festival today. It's a simple story told in such a stunning way. One of the most beautifully animated films I've ever seen.

Check out the drector (Gints Zilbalodis) earlier film, Away, too. It's sort of a perfect little film in its own right, made at home totally by himself. Incredible.

I only heard about this film when it won its award come Golden Globe nights. What a fantastic looking film - I am rooting for it. A beautiful tailored story by Latvia animated studios it came from.

Thank you for this review Jason. I have to say, I'm the most excited to see this movie then I have been for any other film released this year. EVERYTHING about it looks beautiful. I know that this will be one of those rare enough movies that I'll remember for years to come what a special experience it was seeing it for the first time.

Note the film was made with free animation software. Loved the animation. Was on the edge of my seat throughout.

The beautiful thing about a film like Flow is that we can all universally understand it together no matter what language we speak. Including deaf people!

I really hope that American audiences go see this film. It is epic, and it is unlike anything Americans are used to in cinema.

I saw it a couple days ago at my local fest and it was amazing - ngl, a tear or two along the way. The look of the animation reminds me of Legend of ZeldA: Tears of the Kingdom. I consider this a solid win for Best Animated Feature

Just saw it in movie theater. Impressive work of art! Stunning visuals, great story and magnificent soundtrack that pulls you in the story. Oscar worthy! Kudos!
