How were you not aware it was just the first half? I thought they were very clear about that. The second movie is based on the second act of the musical. I think it was a good choice because if you watch the musical, it does tend to feel like they are moving through the story a little too fast, since it’s based on a book, so this way they were able to give the characters and the story more time to develop, although they overdid it just a teeny bit and Part 1 was a little slow. I’m also concerned because they are apparently adding more songs to Part 2, and the one song they added to Part 1 was not good, unfortunately. It stood out for its not goodness.
