Hey, I had the same problem with CC. Then, I started to see them just as exposers of a certain reality: the cruelty and madness of human mind. I mean, one doesn't judge horror movie's directors/actors for the ideas they expose (or judge Bruno Ganz for playing Hitler on Das Untergang). As a band, they formed after the rise of bunch of serial killers; different sciences and social sciences tried to understand that phenomena. And for me, CC in their firsts albums caught that malevolent and repugnant esence in the form of art. From that moment, I surrendered to this magnificent music band. I hope this message will help you to freely enjoy CC music. Cheers!
