I met Corpsegrinder a few days ago while at Seaworld. Him and his family were there. I went up and started a nice little convo, and him and i talked about dolphins. Took a picture. It was unforgetable.

Probably the best bass tone of EVERY Cannibal album. This is how the bass should sound, not like other albums. When you have Webster, one of the best bass players in metal (not just death metal), you need to have clarity. Unfortunately, the new song doesn't have bass clarity like this one

Thought it was just me, the bass is definitely lackluster

Jorden Garberson Yes, but here the mix allows the bass to emerge more. I like this new production.

You kidding me? You can hear bass in EVERY Cannibal album.
@Preussenpenner10 жыл бұрын
***** But not as good as on this Song ;)
@AlessandroMeneghini8910 жыл бұрын
Yes, albums with Barnes on vocals had a well balanced production (thanks to Scott Burns); later, when they changed their tuning to a lower one, bass went quet buried in the mix. Actually you can hear fairly easily bass on Kill and Torture, but only on certain passages. Here you can follow almost every note of Alex Webster :) PS: despite the bass/guitar balance, I love Erik Rutain's work on Kill

Cannibal Corpse is one of the few bands who have evolved over the years and never sold out. This new album is another killer one to add to their extensive collection of gory awesomeness. As a bass player, I must add that I really dig the tone that Alex got on this one.

I have been a long time fan of Cannibal Corpse, brutal as always.
@Kraut21215 жыл бұрын
I am a 10 year Death Metal fan and I make well praised Death Metal such as Whore Torture and Torture Droid, I have been an elitist most of my time, into the fastest and most blasting bands such as Deeds, Brodequin, Bloody Gore, and more underground and NSE and so on. I started with Cannibal Corpse and I still love them and know they write a form of music that is absolutely pure Death Metal and unique and dark and valuable as music in its own right. Many fans when young are more judgmental based on superficial aspects of the music, but as a longer term fan you get a more pure judgment hearing the music itself and not judging the superficiality around it, darkness is a nuance.
@FatSynthDude10 жыл бұрын
I love the production on this track. In an era where we're adding more strings to guitars and tuning even lower, it's refreshing to hear metal where the bass guitar dominates the mix instead of just hiding behind the guitar.
@FrankPatti10 жыл бұрын
Been listening to this for 3 days and it just shows that Cannibal Corpse refuses to sound like anyone other than Cannibal Corpse. They are pure death metal and they have there own sound. Some people like it, some people don't but hey that's fine. I applaud them for sticking to their guns and still making heavy music after all these years. Bring on the new album. \m/

I remember when Torture was coming out and I was completely floored. It was like being hit by the bullet train into a flamethrower, which all intents and purposes in this case is a very good experience. I mean in real life maybe its a little different... but i diagress. Two years later and I finally managed to compose my melted carcass back into some humanic form and this song happens. Hello floor, it's been a while...

Holy fucking shit! CC rules! Will they ever manage to make a disappointing album? Think not! And this time there's some really welcome variety after 3 similar-sounding great albums. As I see it, this kind of sounds like taken from TWS with remnants of the 2006-2012 era + a bit of Bloodthirst and Gore Obssesed.

I truly do believe that we should support death metal and buy the actual disks. Not because we HAVE to but because if labels suffer the bands suffer then we suffer. It's cool that CC only seems to get better with time. For example when you go to see Metallica or some other old school band you only get to see a "shadow" of what they once were. Getting tired. But when you go to see Cannibal Corpse (formed in 88) you still get exactly what you paid for. It's 2016 and Cannibal Corpse is the best they've ever been.
@brettsmith79398 жыл бұрын
So true. I think it might be because cannibal corpse is still in the trenches trying to make a buck. All those other bands make it big get fat and pussiefide. Laying around being fed grapes by fat titty bitches will make you lose your ambition.

Why did you pick Metallica of all bands you could have named? People have to understand that people get older as time passes. Their bodies can't perform at the same energy level as they did in the 1980s and early 1990s. Clearly you are one of those people who don't understand this concept.

That moment, when someone says "Oh just same old Cannibal" and you ask them when's the last time they heard a CC album and they say THE BLEEDING 1994. If you're not a fan , well then there's going to be elements of this band you'll never understand.I love hearing the different styles Webster, Barrett , and Pat O'Brien bring to the table in their ways of writing music/riffs.There IS a difference in their styles and sound, so to all the Cannibal Corpse haters that say it's the "same shit" over and over, you obviously don't know what you're talking about and prefer to talk out your ass.That's fine with me. Personal FAVS. atm, "Kill or Become" by Barrett, "A Murderer's Pact" by Webster and "Funeral Cremation" by O'Brien, killer fuckin' album, I'll be spinning this bad motherfucker for years to come! unless you are from Sweden in 1989 there is no need to downtune into the realm of C. E flat is all the evil you'll ever need. It has the tightness and response of a standard tuning with a demonic edge. Any lower just get a 7-string. And if that isn't low enough you probably have horrible taste in music like all these modern djent bands and meshuggah wannabes
