@Canobie Coasters A few Corrections. Dal Freeman, the park’s Director of Engineering, worked on every ride beginning with Wild Mouse in 1998. Dustin Allen, the current Director of Engineering, came to Lagoon from S&S during the development of BomBora. Lagoon found ART Engineering AFTER they could not find a Family Coaster from any existing Manufacturer that they liked. Dal was confident they could do it themselves and the Ownership agreed. Dal’s first ground up Coaster project for Lagoon was Wicked, which started in 2004. Lagoon shopped around their concept and found a partner in ZIERER. Stengel gets the credit for the Design even though their involvement was limited to technical calculations. Petersen, Inc. fabricated the Columns for BomBora, Cannibal, the new ride, and even repaired Wicked’s Columns. Intermountain Lift, Inc. fabricated the track for BomBora, Cannibal, and the new ride. Lagoon actually would have liked the Columns and Track for Bat and Wicked fabricated locally by Petersen and Intermountain. The Station and Shop building for Wicked is actually from Petersen as well. Dal Freeman (Lagoon), Dustin Allen (Lagoon), and Georg Behringer (ART Engineering) are credited with the Design and Engineering. Dustin also holds patents in regards to Cannibal. Lagoon has been clear in regards to Cannibal being a collaboration between them and ART Engineering. BomBora, however, does not have an ART Builder’s Plate. BomBora’s trains also have onboard lighting as well as sound.

Thanks for the clarifications on the deisgnwork, support work, and ART Engineering. That makes sense how ART was founded.
@sidvernon63432 жыл бұрын
@@CanobieCoaster I should further clarify that Dal and Lagoon’s ownership decided they [Lagoon] could do it [BomBora] themselves and ART was recommended to them as a partner. ART actually does a lot of work for other manufacturers.

This past summer I was able to lap this ride six times in a row this in addition to 4 other rides that same day. I'll say this, there is a slight difference between the front and the back on the first drop. The front feels more like hangtime at the start of the drop while the back is more like as you described, but it is a subtle difference. When I first rode this I thought this was such a wonderfully bizarre coaster that proves that airtime isn't everything.

I agree there is a subtle difference between the front and back, but it isn't too noticeable because of the trim and short trains.

Rode this for my first time yesterday, I actually got 5 rides, 4 of which were in the front row which was awesome. It's such a unique experience that it is totally worth coming to Lagoon. The drop is legitimately terrifying, and as a hang time enjoyer the Lagoon Roll is one of my favorite elements ever. I didn't find any of the airtime to be that strong, but that's my only complaint with the layout. The line moves insanely fast, I never had to wait more than 10 minutes despite it covering a relatively long distance. I've been on plenty of rides where the same distance of line would take 45+ minutes. Great for one of the most popular rides at the park (Although Primordial got both longer and slower moving lines). The restraints were pretty comfortable. Not my favorite ever, but definitely better than any over the shoulder restraints would be. I will say that on one of my rides, the restraint made a loud click on the first drop and came down painfully hard. I found it to be smooth on the inside seats, but it has a bit of a rattle on the outside seats (especially rising up into the midcourse). Not enough to ruin the ride, but definitely noticeable. Also, be careful riding this at sunset. The door at the top of the lift will open and you will go from a dark room to staring directly into the sun. I'd say that hurt worse than the rattle or the restraints.

I'm really looking forward to the full park review; Lagoon is an exceptional park with some quirks you really only see at an independent park (like being able to bring your own food in, and boy do the crowds take advantage of that) and their ride lineup is deep and diverse. Since you were there last month I'm also anticipating some Frightmares content in the park review, and I'm hoping you were as impressed as I was with a couple of the houses. The upcharge show Séance: The Dark Ritual was some of the best entertainment I've ever seen at a park.

The real genius of this ride is how crazy compact it is. Lagoon has been making some very interesting thoughtful design decisions that really set them apart from every other park out there, like the midway design too, and the general layout of the park with everything being so distinct and separated (picnic, wild west town, museum district, zoo, flat rides/coasters. Right now they're working on their most ambitiously themed area but they're smartly taking their time with a talented team, which is awesome, this park should be insane in the future and it's already one of the best out there
