I literally just got done making this and holy mother lord love a duck it is AMAZING. Haven't even canned I and I'm not going to cuz I'm standing at the stove putting it on lunch meat ham with white cheddar shoveling it in my mouth as I type. Thank you so much! Exactly! And, you can even use frozen onions with this recipe. So, before any of your onions go bad and you don’t have enough to can this batch, no worries, just dice and freeze them until you have enough. Thanks for stopping by!

I agree with you that onions and garlic make a meal complete. It adds a depth of flavor. I love lacto fermented veggies so I'm going to look for that carrot video.

I hear you on that!!! Keeping canned onions is a pantry staple and luckily they are cheap and available all year round so i can buy them in bulk and process. I can these by the quart bc they are sooooo good! So nice to “see” you again;)

Hey Sis! Oh my word! I loveee onions. Looks amazing! I’ve often wondered what happens if a lid on one of the jars isn’t properly sealed. So it can be refrigerated for up to three months. Cool beans! Another amazing video! 👏

Thank you so much. YOU WILL LOVE THIS RECIPE. It's truly what I reach fror the most (and virtually every week) to add it into something. This way, you'll onions will never go bad on you, they are ready to be scooped and dump on whatever. Yes, it'll hold up excellent (like any other jam) in your fridge for 3 months, but it'll surely get eaten up by then. :)

Well, hello! I FEEL you on the love of onions! Me too. You will love and probably become addicted to this recipe. I’ll never be without it and because access to onions are pretty cheap all year round, it’s what I actually can the most off. Top them on your omelettes and throw them in stews. Love your video. You are an inspiration! I tried the recipe last night. I don't think that I twisted the tops on tight enough 🙄. I did hear one pop out of 4 jars. I wasn't watching over them as I was doing something in another room. I do notice a powdery film on the outside of the jars. I followed all the instructions on sterilizing the jars. Is this normal. Should I just wipe the jars down or discard? All jars are sealed. I'll send a picture.

I am interested in trying this. I know you have the recipe listed in the description but I would love to know where you got the recipe. I like to be cautious with canning recipes found on YT because I don’t want to do anything not recommended for preserving.

I hear you on this, and know that I will add this information in ALL of my canning videos after this. I’m not trying to mislead anyone and I want people to feel confident in the recipes I share. This is an adaption from the Small Batch book of Preserving the same book in a reply I just shared with you). I added the cooked garlic and mix s brown sugar and honey instead of granulated. Sorry for the delay, yesterday was a loooong day at work!

You won’t regret it! Fair warning-it’s addictive. The full recipe is in the description box. It’s also great in omelettes, stews, casserole... I mean basically anything!!!!! Cant wait for you to enjoy it too!

Absolutely! You can always add more sugar to a recipe without jeopardizing safety, just not less! You’re gonna love this!

@@mommagator9899 Love this. And yes, this pairs excellent with everything...I mean, not on top of ice cream but anywhere where you need flavor, and that onion garlic taste. Done. And, AND, I love that onions are readily available, cheap or easily grown making this recipe something that becomes easy to can. Trust that I am canning this by the quarts this weekend! I just had to mail some to my parents in Florida because they love it!
