Thanks for info Ryan. A sign with all the numbers would be good. As a Swede, it is difficult to keep up with all the numbers easier to see them.

Saw this same one and as someone just looking to get into carving wasnt sure if theyd be worth it because theyre like 4x less than a stihl bar???? Any reasons why?

great video, thanks! i would like to make you a question: I have just started carving with my chainsaw, changing the original 16" normal bar for a 12" carving one. And immediately I notice that there was what seems to be an excess oil everywhere. I asume it is because the oil pump was design to lubricate the larger bar. And when you change for a shorter bar there is simply too much oil delivered and you have to accept that. Am I right?

Can one use a battery chainsaw with these bars for carving? Reviews show that the Echo 18 volt saw is seeming to be the best with power and has the least power lag from the time you presss the trigger button and the time it puts power to the chain and spocket. Also the Milwaukee small 6 inch pruning saws, can be fitted with the 10 inch pruning pole saw guide and chain, but are 3/8 inch chains.

Echo hasn’t made a sprocket for 1/4 pitch yet. I’m begging them too. So you would want a toonie tip. But for carving small dime and quarter tips. U want 1/4 for sure. Can’t really use 3/8 will blow the tip.

How do you know which 1/4 pitch sprocket to get for a 2511P vs. a 501P? I have both on order from Echo. Is there an online store you recommend for them?

What if im just starting out carving and the only saw im going to be playing around with at first is a stihl ms201 what bar n chain would you reccomend for that?
@22ceedee3 жыл бұрын
Ryan I have on order a Stihl 12 in dime tip bar , sprocket ,and chain , all in 1/4 pitch , I decided to go with the .050 gauge rather than the .043 . is this the gauge that you would suggest . hopping I made the right choice of gauge . I am using this on my Stihl MS170 saw. so the big wait begins. I ordered this six weeks ago ,and have no idea when it will ever arrive . matching the bar mounts was good and helpful information . this was a very interesting video ,thanks Ryan !

On the 12 in. bar is it a 50 gauge 1/4 pitch chain . Thanks Ryan .

Are these carving bars and 1/4 pitch chains and sprockets able suitable for use on corded electric chainsaws? I’m super interested in using the makita 4051 as my first carving saw but would genuinely value your knowledgeable creative input on that idea before I drop the dough.

Awesome skills Ryan.. As you got many new subscribers and perhaps newbies to the subject, it would be nice to do 10mins on safety, as its important to understand if theres kickback, other metrics that ppl will pick up in time.. Keep up the awesome career. WoW..😊

Hey Ryan. A suggest about the next Tuestay tools ! I would like to know what tools and bite we should buy as beginner for details. I mean what is best to buy first ? Dremmel 4000 or makita cordless ? I think the uses are close. And now you talked about many bites and which one you have to buy fist to carve eyes for example. Thanks a lot anyway
