Informative video but I agree that I’d like to have seen a can being filled and seamed in real time. That would have given us an idea of the ease of operation of the unit. Perhaps in a future video? Cheers!

Again, great video! Would this work with beer from a Grainfather conical fermenter with pressure transfer kit connected to the Cannular or even with only gravity (fermenter placed higher)?
@DavidHeathHomebrew5 ай бұрын
As long as you can connect the flow then yes. I would have the conical up high and use gravity.

You mention issues with the duofiller compared to this. Is that still the case with the gen3 duofiller? Am looking something for consistent bottle filling.

@@DavidHeathHomebrew what about availability for keglands filler in europe?
@FermentationAdventures5 ай бұрын
Which version of the duofiller do you have? I have the second generation and it works great. Easy to calibrate and use, with fantastic results filling cans. The only feature this one has is which the duofiller doesn’t is the external pinch valve. Would be great to easily remove and clean the liquid hose.
@DavidHeathHomebrew5 ай бұрын
I did have the first generation. Im glad you are happy with yours. However this goes much further of course with its screen, online profiles and updates and so on.
@FermentationAdventures5 ай бұрын
@@DavidHeathHomebrewfair enough. But the profiles/screen/regulator are not necessary for me in my experience. It’s super easy to set a new sensor mode level with a new keg, which seems to be a good idea any way. I don’t think I’m missing much as I don’t use the rapt portal anyhow. Good overview of the kegland filler regardless!
@DavidHeathHomebrew5 ай бұрын
@@FermentationAdventures Clearly we all have our wishes and needs, I can only really report on things as I experience and see them. I believe its good that there is now this further option though, as the Duofiller is certainly quite an expensive product. This is of course understandable as they are literally hand made, however I believe that this new unit will suit most people due to its enhanced feature set and more budget friendly price.
@alanman53285 ай бұрын
@@FermentationAdventures I had the second generation unit. It was not easy to set up in my experience and after varies attemps to make it work properly I handed it back for a refund. The second generation just offered a faster filling speed, which does not address the core issues.

@@alanman5328 interesting to hear. Myself and another member of my homebrewing club are having a great time using it. A third club member is having issues with the gen 1. I must confess that I bought the Duofiller but ended up handing it back as it really was a disappointment to me, especially with its heavy pricetag. Sure, you will experience some co2 losses. These can be minimized if the beer is at as low a temperature as possible though.

Very nice video!! I managed to get this in EU a few weeks back and I am amazed at how good it is. It surely is great for filling bottles from the Fermzilla and my keggerator too. The only problem I noticed was the silicone and plastic tubes. If they get damaged, it's very hard to find alternatives (my gas tube was ripped during transportation). The gas tube is very hard to fit to the steel tube, and if you have a problem inside the machine and need to replace it, it's almost impossible due to the chosen connections. I would love to see a more serviceable design with some barbs on the steel tube and easier connections on the inside regulator. Overall, though, it's a fantastic product and has made my bottling process much smoother! The calibration was smooth also!
