This park looks like the Islands of Adventure of Europe. It has a great mix of roller coasters, themed lands, water rides, and dark rides. It looks incredible. I think if I could only go to one park in Europe, it would be my choice.

The first launched flying coaster, a mid to top tier B&M Invert, a rock work moster Intamin Blitz, and one of the best drop towers of all time, what a fantastic collection this place has to offer. I would come here if they only had 1 of those things but they got it all. For a smaller park they went all out on theming more than 90% of other parks do. A ride lineup that you cannot get anywhere else all that have either really good terain interaction or great theming. I think Black Mamba looks like the best here but there is nothing to hate here.

I had to wait an hour for River Quest, but I had no clue what I was in for. I had no idea a rapids/rafting ride could be that intense. World’s best rafting ride and the world’s best log ride in the same park!

Chiapas waiting queue is ( relatively ) extreme short. The view during the final drop is stunning. Just for that ride, you won't regret your ticket. Taron's multiplication ( thematisation x sensation ) is on another level. Even the final isn't just some basic braking. Go!

Nice one. Phantasialand truly has some of the best rides in the world. Probably the best coaster with Taron, probably the best mine train with Colorado Adventure, probably the best log flume with Chiapas, and probably the best flat ride with Talocan. No to mention the new F.L.Y. They used every bit of space they have in the best way. I was impressed with your pronounciation of Geister Rikscha, that was on point!

This is a bucket-list park for me and one that I'm not too bummed I missed when I was in Europe, since most of their best rides seem to have been added after I was there (newest would have been Chiapas and in October I wouldn't have wanted to ride that or River Quest anyway). Nothing beats a themed drop tower, and F.L.Y. and Taron look incredible and extremely re-rideable.

Another thing that might be interesting: I have some issue with my lower back due to my office job. And while I probably should not get on coasters at all (at least according to the warning signs displayed at most coasters), I still can't resist. But there are significant differences to how much the rollers coasters affect my back (not including other rides here, as I'm mostly into roller coasters). In Phantasialand, by far the most back-friendly coaster is F.L.Y., as long as the restraints are not too loose. The only time I noticed my back being not too happy about a ride on FLY was when I was not tucked in tightly, and hang in the restraints with a bent back. But overall, it's easily the most back-friendly coaster I have been on. The next on the list would be Black Mamba. While the ride is not super-smooth like a brand nwe coaster, it does not hit me in the back like some other rides, and rather than my back I have to watch my ears being hit by the shoulder restraints. Raik is not much of a problem for the back as well, but possibly for me because the ride is so short. Taron has good seats, and a smooth track without real bumps, but the sometimes violent ejector airtime moments make your whole body work - so I can't go on it too often. Winjas Fear/Force are mostly fine, but have a few bumps that can hurt. Colorado Adventure is a fantastic Mine Train - but it has rough spots and hits you in the back multiple times, so I would not recommend it with back issues.

It's super awesome to hear how many rollercoasters in Phantasialand come from Vekoma. My boyfriend works there and he did also work on the F.L.Y. Because of it's opening and him working at Vekoma, we got free tickets to Phantasialand last year and it was absolutely awesome. Also, the Colorado Advernture is also called the Michael Jackson Thrill ride. Fun fact: Michael Jackson actually had some input in the creation of that rollercoaster and was one of the first to go on it when it first opened in 1996.

This is, together with efteling, my favourite park in the world. Its the park I grew up with. Colorado adventure was my very first rollercoaster, when my dad put my on it when I was way too small😅 (now im a huge coaster enthusiast). My family and I have been visiting it multiple times every year, and I still can't get over how incredible and immersive all the rides are. Since my sister can't Walk very long distances, this park is perfect for us and I look forward to visiting it every time. Great video!!!

I have gone to phantasialand many times. I love the park a lot and it has many of my favourite rides. I remember going while injured and i needed to go to first aid to get my bandages changed. It strangely only opened later in the morning so the staff allowed me to ride the nearby bat ride three times in a row without having to wait again cause there was basically no row lol. A quick note on Crazy Bats: From the footage you used it looks like you weren’t able to have the VR-Headset on during the ride. I thought it was a great experience - especially as an entry coaster for kids - to have a whole cute & funny animation mapped to the coaster itself. Truly unique and a more fun than exciting ride that I’d recommend every visit!

Phantasialand is my favorite park and I absolutely LOVE Taron! That's easily my favorite ride at the park and the 2nd favorite coaster I've ridden so far. F.L.Y. is also an amazing coaster, but for me it'd come at number 2. I also want to add that Crazy Bats is normally a VR coaster these days, which actually makes it much more fun. Unfortunately due to Covid, they've stopped using the VR headsets for the time being.

About Crazy Bats did you not use the vr glasses? When you put it on you are pulled into a great vr story with every movement of the coaster being used during the virtual images you see. It was not available during the pandemic but it now is fully open

Crazy bats is a VR ride with a unique and cute VR experience where you follow three cartoon bats that are trying to get out of a crazy castle with their female bat friend they need to rescue. I really liked it :) During Corona though they weren't allowed to give out the VR headsets as it would have been a ton of work desinfecting them properly. During that time the ride was a dark ride.

No recording is allowed onride. FLY has mandatory free lockers for everything at the end of the queue. All other rides let you keep things in your pockets. I'm not sure on the bags though since I never carry one. I have never visited this early in the season, so I'd check queue-times.com for historical wait time data.

You can take your bags with you to most attractions as long as they are not too big. At Fly, as already mentioned, there are extra lockers where you have to put all loose objects in. You also go through a metal detector after the locker. It's because there are no safety nets under the rails so as not to disturb the overall picture, so you shouldn't take anything with you. At Taron and Black Mamba there are extra compartments in the station where you can put your bags. If necessary, there are several stations with lockers in the park, e.g. at the entrance, under Colorado Adventure where you go to the "Jump" show and to the right before you get to the Winjas roller coasters. But apart from drinking, maybe a pair of fresh socks after Riverquest, you really don't need to take anything with you. The prices for food in the park are okay, it is quite tasty and there is a variety to suit each park area. It is better not to try to record on the attractions, Phantasialand is a little special at this point. They don't really like that. Simply because of the safety, which has been rated significantly higher since the fire in 2001. As for the waiting times on weekdays, it depends on whether there are holidays in the surrounding federal states. And whether it is in the high season or in the low season. If you don't go in midsummer, but rather in the direction of autumn or spring, the waiting times are relatively humane. It can then happen that you can simply go through it, maybe wait 10 to 25 minutes. In the season, when the weather is good, the times can sometimes triple or quadruple in terms of waiting, or even longer at the top attractions such as Taron and Fly. Otherwise, it's a bit of a gamble as the park is one of the most popular destinations in Germany, the top 2 of amusement parks here and not the largest in terms of area.

I must say the tron was very unique, you don't have the element of security anymore, the grip is lose, so you wobble around a lot, beside it has two acceleration, the first is fast enough second one is just like .... If I ever get to make a European trip, Phantasialand will be a very high priority, maybe only topped by Energylandia. From everything I've seen & heard, I know I'll like it more than Europa Park.

Six flags has extreme rides but minimal theming. Disneyland has great theming but tame rides. Phantasialand combines Disneyland & Six Flags.

I talk about how to tour the park in my review. I would start with F.L.Y. since it tends to open 1 hour before the other major rides. Then I would invest in Quick Pass to help with the other big rides since you only have 1 day.

Thank you for all these videos. I’m looking for a new holiday destination my family, we go to DLP every year and as sad as it is after going on the same rides for nearly 10 years There’s not much left to see. We really like all the visuals of the rides like pirates of the Caribbean and haunted mansion. My kids still a bit too young for universal studios in Orlando, how would you say this park compares to DLP as a whole? And how many days would you recommend are needed to get around the park? This park's top rides are catered more for the older crowd. I'd look into Efteling since that park has awesome theming and more dark rides for young kids.

If you're looking for something for the whole family for several days I can also only highly recommend Europapark! You have great themed hotels with superb service and friendliest of staff and the park as well is just great and has everything to offer for all ages, from toddlers up to grown-ups. You could do most things in one or two days, but it won't become boring if you're staying a whole week (with staying at least 4 days, you should get a year pass). I've grown up with Phantasialand and have always loved it and am so much looking to going back soon after several years, but for a family I'd always suggest Europapark.

I'll still pick taron over Fly. The amazingly comfortable seats in taron which blast you through all those near misses and airtime sections is just an unreal experience. Fly was an amazing experience as well from even the way you take place in the coaster and is very similar to Taron but the hanging position isn't something i'd be up for doing multiple times in a single day. But if the park was about to close and we had time for one more ride i'd pick taron any time for the insane speed it launches you with and the smoothness of the ride.

I guess you visited Phantasialand during a time of Covid restrictions. They were not allowed to use the VR headsets in Crazy Bats at that time, which leaves you with the original dark ride stripped of all its theming. They are back to VR now, which would probably put CB way higher on your list.

Crazy Bats is normally a VR coaster, and by far the best VR coaster I have ever been on. Only due to corona, it is currently just the dark ride the coaster has been before... but wait, until we are out of pandemic mode again. Then it will be for a few years (until the other VR coasters have picked up) a world class attraction.

But compared to the likes of Alpen-Express or Valerian in Europa-Park, it's really a different dimension, you can't even compare it. So, unless you are among those poor guys who really can't ride VR coasters, I'd recommend to have a try some time in the future.

Actually Crazy Bats ride is one of the oldest rides still in operation in the park along with Colorado Adventure. It used to be called "Temple of the Nighthawk" and featured a laser show accompanying the dark ride. Along the lift hills the old panels are still there they used to project the hawk on. In the very beginning this ride it was Space-themed, the waiting queue and station still resembles that to this day.

I think Hollywood tour gets a renovation and the rikscha will get some too in the future maybe they close crazy bats in the future to turn it down and replace it but in the hall there is a diner show so the show need a new location and in this compact park it's hard to find a spot for it

Let me revision at first, I have already revisited the place (November 17, 2024) since I took a trip there on June 4, 2024. I'm not quite sure that *Colorado Adventure* is the only roller coaster that nearly broke my neck or is there other than itself, honestly *Taron* is my #1 most favorite rollercoaster because it feels like the barrier is going to lift up which is why I stiffly hold down until it stops. Taron lead everyone to death💀

Info: Crazy Bats used to be a themed dark rollercoaster, now it's a VR coaster, meaning you actually see a film during the ride. You didn't because you went during Covid, when due to hygiene they just left out the masks. It's obviously quite boring without, but with the VR glasses, it's really fun. Also: While the Rookburgh theme is quite neat, Taron is and will always be the best rollercoaster in the world. F.L.Y. cannot possibly beat that, as much fun as it it.
