Canoe Camping 6 days on Lake Richardson / Rangeley Lakes Region, Maine

This trip takes us to the Richardson Lakes, (Upper and Lower Richardson) in the Rangeley Lakes region of Western Maine. Starting at the South Arm on Lower Richardson, we spent 6 days working our way up the lake to Big Beaver Island on Upper Richardson and back down the lake to where we began. We explored different coves and campsites, encountered various weather conditions, spent time fishing and enjoyed each others company. All in we figure approximately 40 miles of paddling and a lot of good fun!
This is a very nice lake to spend time on. There is a lot of history in this lake and surrounding area. Although motor boats do use this lake, the lake can offer quite a wilderness like experience. I am sure I will be back, as it is a lake worthy of returning to.
