Very clever 👍🏻 If you’re going to get a dehydrator, you need to get Kevin Ride’s book “Backcountry Eats”. It’s fantastic!

Great watch you guys!! You guys are star athletes for taking that on!! I feel like James has done some time as running back in the NFL with his skilled footwork navigating those portages! Wow!! All while carrying a 40 lb boat in his shoulders! Incredible! And packs person!, not too shabby there! It’s hard carrying two full size packs front and back. Especially while navigating talus slopes like you guys were. I would have twisted my ankle right of service without a pack! Filming and editing was top notch. Thank you for showing all of the steps that go into these canoe trips. Very impressed. Always good to see Emma! The final viewing lookout was beautiful! Thank you for taking us up there! You can send your Thermarest back to them for repairs. As a fellow Ontarian I did this with mine and shipping was only $25 by Canada Post. Absolutely worth it for them to factory repair it - I tried their repair kit but still suffered a slow-leak with both the fabric patch and the plastic ones (I tried both the field kit and permanent repair kit). Once it was back from them it was like new. Highly reccomend!

Hi Len, I was typing up a reply to your last comment a couple of hours ago when I got called away to something 😂 I will answer here. We use the MEC Slogg HD dry bags in 70L. Emma’s toy sadly I don’t know. It’s one that her grandma gave her from a long while ago that somehow hasn’t been ripped to pieces yet. It used to have a low sounding noisemaker inside that has broken (we only bring toys with no squeaker or broken squeakers for everyone’s sanity 😂)

My only negative comment is that I would like to see more scenes about camping and less footage about portage, which has some nice scenery but gets boring Watching you two struggle over rocks, bogs, logs etc. I appreciate the difficulty of the endeavor just lose focus trying to watch it. I live in the PNW and love your Canadian lakes rivers and forests. This is much more kayak country than canoeing so I enjoy your adventures on the water. PS I’ve had two Goldens and love Emma!
@TwoPacksandaPup Жыл бұрын
Thanks Lawrence, appreciate you pushing through and watching even though it was slow at times! Will try and keep the portage cuts shorter next time. This particular trip was very portage heavy. We felt that for this route, it was important to capture the portage difficulty. For anyone who lives in the area or may actually be planning to do this route, we wanted to provide useful information on the terrain. We also just film and focus on what comes naturally to us during the trip. There are a lot of beautiful waterfalls on this one, and we don’t want to mislead anyone by skimming over the main thing that anyone attempting it will have to go through. Goldens have a way of stealing hearts, they are too sweet ♥️ Emma says hi 👋🏼 🐶
