As the video says at the end, is a Michael Storer design. Canoe plus amas, akas and sailH storerboatplans.com Aussie Storer is a kind of "guru" to design small and very effective and easy to build boats. Specially his Goat Island Skiff - GIS. Lots around the world.

embarcar agua no es un problema, apenas es necesario hacer uno o dos pitot para que el agua embarcada desagote... se los hace con tapa para cuando el agua pudiera entrar por falta de velocidad

Eugenio, la construcción de estas canoas es particular. Enchapado marino de 4mm SIN fibra de vidrio, solamente cinta rowing en las costuras y tres manos por dentro y otras tres por fuera de epoxy. O sea, que es muy liviana, pero no permite hacer huecos para un bailer o pilot para desagotar como tu sugieres. Eso debilitaría mucho la estructura del fondo. Fíjate que la canoa sola - sin amas/akas vela, etc - pesa solo 35kgs. Es diseño australiano, expertos en estas estructuras super livianas de madera, pero muy firmes en la navegación.

Wow that does not look good, not enough freeboard height, didn’t even look as fast as that Laser? Very wet sail. GIS is much better.

My friend ... this is a canoe, and this is for pure fun. Of course, the GIS is different. I have a Goat Island Skiff, I have this canoe, and I also have a trimaran - Trika 540. The problem is that I don't have always a boat where my club's regattas are. My GIS is stored 120kms from this club in Montevideo.
