Canoe Trip on The Mississippi IN JANUARY!

As part of my quest to canoe every month of the year, here is my paddle for this January. The Mississippi River never freezes up near Monticello due to the Nuclear power plant located upriver. This allows for some beautiful sights of the steam rising off of the river, something you don’t typically see this time of year on any other river! The birds seemed to love the warmer water, and so did we!
