Wow! Quite a storm. We've had the pleasure of a day paddle on the Namekagon but we haven't camped there yet. It's on the bucket list. Great video. - bean

I have that same boat! Mine is missing the yoke and I wasn't sure if it had come with a yoke or just a brace. I have just bought it about a month ago and I am trying to restore it and it was great to see one in use. Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us.
@UpNorthAdventures7 жыл бұрын
Mine came with the yoke. I think something should definitely be there for structural integrity. Mine has been great though, love the stability. Its like a cross between a boat and canoe. Good luck with the restoration.

Great trip! I recognize a lot of the spots. I have cooked steaks on the grills. They do look gross. I get a good hot fire, try to clean them with foil, spray the grate with cooking spray, wipe it down again, shoot another shot of spray and cook. That was a nice smally you caught.
@UpNorthAdventures8 жыл бұрын
We didn't have anything to clean them I like them cooked on coals so that part didn't bother me, but it would've been nice if we didn't forget the seasonings. Your video inspired me to make this trip so thanks for that!

@UpNorthAdventures8 жыл бұрын
+Random Button Pusher Glad you liked it. I was surprised they held up so well too. Really the only reason my wife got wet was from me making some adjustments. Hard to tell from the footage I got but that was probably the worse storm I've camped in. Heavy downpour for almost two hours straight. A couple at the landing said 5 inches fell.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend the cheetos on a steak..lol How old was your dog? Ours is 18 and they say the life expectancy for an American eskimo is between 13 to 15 so were pretty lucky I guess. Orange cuz of the water?

Lol. We were loaded down for sure! I love that canoe though. Great stabily. I'm able to paddle while standing so I can stretch a little without having to find a place on shore. I have a kayak too and thats a lot more convenient so they both have there advantages. Sea kayak would be nice to be able to explore sea caves here on lake superior. Thats really cool that you build them!
