Is there a difference between hill fields and flat fields? I see less water use on hills fields than flat or is that reversed?

I was looking for what is too much plant stand, too many plants and yield suffers

In northwestern Alberta, I have found moisture is the biggest determining factor for yield versus plant population. I have had better yields at seeding rates of 7lbs per acre as opposed to 4.5 - 5lbs. However in the last 10 years we have grown farm averages of 7 bushels an acre and all the way to 65 bushels an acre and everything in between 😂
