Canon 1DX Broll - (Canon 1DX II vs. Sony A7III Broll Test)

When we went to California for some client work we decided to go and do some filming/testing to see how the Sony a7iii and the Canon 1dx mark ii held up together.

When grading we could definitely see a difference in Canon color science and how hard it was to match especially when using a lut on the footage. Overall we think it worked.

Let me guess - The footage that has lots of light flickering comes from sony. Canon 120fps is smoother. Sony 120fps is a little jagged. Both are color graded well, but canon has darker blacks and slightly vignetted.

My guess... The sony footage is of the guy holding the canon and canon footage is of the guy holding a Sony 😂
