Cracking shots of the Black Woodpecker, Andrew! Never seen one myself, but there was a Hoopoe near me in Wales recently, which was a first for me, and great to see and photograph.

Photographing birds looks so hard Andrew. I don't have the lens for it sadly. How often do you head out for birds?

Hi Jeff, I head out a few times a month if time allows. Practice makes perfect 🙂. Lenses can also be picked up second hand for less than you might think. I find it a fun challenge to capture them and if I get a rare bird or behaviour it makes it all worth while.

Hi no fI didn't use ilters for these shots. I would only consider using filters for landscape pics.
