CANON 600D Magic Lantern RAW testing

A small insight into Magic Lantern RAW video testing.
Filmed with CANON 600D and EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 canon kit lens.
Originally filmed in 1280x544 resolution, aspect ratio 2:32:1
Frame rate 24fps.
Rendered to 1920x1080 resolution. No color no contrast and no other editing done.

really great!!!!! may i know what is your what is the Canon resolution did you use (not RAW resolution)? and picture profile? then what software did you use to convert MLV to DNG?

Thanks a lot! Originally I filmed this only in Magic Lantern raw video format in 1280x544 resolution, aspect ratio 2:32:1 no sound recording (it was the maximum resolution I can record to get about 5 seconds of video before the recording stops) and didn't change original canon software resolution settings because it is unnecessary. The original canon settings stayed at 1920x1080 24fps if that's what you thought. It seems that I used the landscape picture profile in default mood but I do not remember really. Remember that I use a circular polarizing filter in some shots so some colors are brighter. in fact, I did all that shown in this video tutorial below. everything is very well explained there. The first video is about ML movie settings: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYqoZWuObL-gf5I and the other video about formatting and editing MLV on a computer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5mrkGimps6ljNE To create this video I used the free version of Davinci Resolve where you can very simple process these DNG files.

Hello ! Very nice video. I've a question. Did you have limitation in video recording time while using magic lantern with this presets ?

Mostly everything depends on the resolution and the bit rate. I shoot at 1280x544 and video recording time is never longer than 5 seconds. When reducing the resolution, the shooting time increases. You can also reduce the bit rate to get longer videos as well as reduce the number of frames per second. I'm still a beginner with a magic lantern. In any case there are many youtube video tutorials on how to shoot with a magic lantern and what settings to use.
