Canon 7D Review - Why This?

Pretty awesome. Once you feel a mag-alloy body in your hand you wont want to use anything else! My DOF preview button doesn't work but hardly a complain considering the price I paid and super low shutter count it has.

The first camera that I really loved was the 7D, sill have it and had owned and own a bunch of other cameras too like a few Canon 1D´s but I always bring the 7D when I don't feel like bringing a heavy camera and I love the photos I get from the 7D.

I agree that the 7D still holds its own. Consumerism blinds people and makes them think that new cameras make old ones look bad. Far from reality in my experience. For example, I bought a great-looking, used Canon 7D with the 18-55mm kit lens for $250 on eBay over a year ago. I also bought a nifty-fifty from the same guy. I used it for a few months and then gifted it to a friend because she needed it for college and I didn't really NEED it. I then bought a new Nikon D7200 months later. You know which camera I liked more? The 7D. It 's noisier at base ISOs and clips the highlights easier, but something about the images it produced spoke to me, and the colors were so lovely. I still look at the old images I made with it and sigh heavily. It was so exciting shooting that camera, because what my brain saw, the camera captured. My creative juices flowed so good with it, and I had great fun. Again the colors, especially during sunsets, were so pleasing. It saddens me that I still haven't fallen in love with my D7200 almost a year later, when I literally fell in love with the 7D at first click. I bought a new D750 on B&H this week and it came with front-focusing issues, so I'm returning it. Its look and feel is pretty much the same as my D7200, except a flippy screen, slightly bigger viewfinder and obviously full frame, which doesn't mean much to me. Image-wise, it's exactly the same as my D7200 no matter what DXO scores say. Anyway, when I shoot the D7200, which is a technically way better camera in every way, I still miss my 7D. I enjoyed pixel-peeping that thing. It looked so good for being such an old camera. Once again, uh, the colors it captured. I can't put it into words. Every picture felt thick and loaded with color data, even JPEGs. If you can find one in good shape with low mileage, grab it and forget about DXO scores. They make people feel good, but real life is about the eye being pleased, not about numbers. BTW, I also own a Fujifilm S3 Pro and a Nikon D60. I prefer the look of images made by CCDs for some reason. They look less digital to me. Thanks for reading and God bless you!

@@lolavalkyrie B&H has one in very good condition for $440. I almost bought it, but the Panasonic GH4 went down to $698 with a spare battery, bag and memory card and I couldn't pass on it. That's less than what I spent on my GH3 back in 2015. God bless!

7D is a full frame or not?

Fel berondo Proud bisdak No the 7D is not full frame it’s crop sensor, I still have my 7D from many many years ago & it still works flawlessly I’ve never had a problem with it once. If you want a full frame canon you’d have to go with something like the EOS RP, 1Ds MK2, 6D MK2, 5D series or something along those lines.

I love the canon 7d I’m on my second one. I sold my first one and then got the canon t6i thinking I needed to get a new one. Biggest mistake ever, this is a powerhouse. I sold the t6i and bought a used canon 7d. I’m wanting a canon 7d mark. But honestly if your not into video like me this is a awesome camera ❤️❤️

@@vloggingwithnickruhle2311 so I went from a Canon Rebel T5 to a Canon 7D. I brought it from someone on letgo cause I wanted to buy a really good camera at a cheap price. Plus I was Desperate to upgrade. I brought it for around 300. I started testing it out at the NYC Dominican Parade & looking at them during dinner before I was going to head to an art show I felt like it looked really blurry to me / not crips enough. At first I thought it was my eyes but once I got home I saw it blurred a bit. My boyfriend was using my old camera & I felt my old camera looked way better than the Canon 7D. I feel like it could be the way my PC makes the photos look, the way I shot them, or I'm just having a shitty diffcult time trying to learn how to use it. Later on trying to look up stuff about it I found out this year there was a mark ii that I had no clue about til I got this camera.

Savage Flacka Vlogs we’ll seeing as you know what you’re actually doing since you’ve had a camera before, I have a couple questions: Is everything clean on the camera? The lens, LCD, sensor, etc? If so, have you looked at the photos on a computer versus just off the camera? If yes to all of that, my only thoughts could be that the focusing maybe isn’t landing just right and that’s why they’re blurred. Try testing the focus with whatever lens you’re using in a manual mode. Take pictures of stuff within your home and make sure that it’s not the focus itself. Could be user error and you may just have to practice more with it because all cameras have multiple different ways of focusing. Some better than others, some harder than others. But either way, try all those things I mentioned!
