Sharpen at the start? No color space transform? TBH, I think there are better clips out there, but it's good to get people started. I like Casey Faris for progressive resolve grading ideas. Thanks for sharing and has made me think about using Luts to get the job done fast!

You’re right, I didn’t want to scare beginners away; the purpose of this video is just to help people get started. For what concerns LUTs yes…provided that we properly color correct and adjust the original footage, we can really benefit and save much precious time using them. Again, LUTs are really useful but many beginners might see them as a shortcut to avoid learning how to color grade. I will make more videos about color grading making a program to gradually guide beginners into this art.Thanks for watching and for your feedback!

bro everything looks great except the sharpness (Looks like a vintage camcorder footage) is on little higher. but cinestyle is a bless. i think videos doesnt need much sharpeness unlike photos.

Hi Dan, Great video on the 90d grading as the colors looked great; Do you copy the grade and apply it to the rest of your timeline clips so as to sync them together, I love my Canon 90d some people say odd things about them but the quality of videos and photos speaks for itself; Anyway how can 22 million people be wrong...iv just purchased a new lumix s5 full frame camera and the footage looks really good but no better than my Canon 90d even after grading the v-log slightly...No doubt about it Canon forever...Loved this video Dan and keep up the great work and video,s....73s and take care to you and your family..

Hey Keith, the 90D is indeed an awesome camera! I usually copy the grade and apply it to the rest of the timeline unless there are shots with totally different lights...like outdoors/indoors or shot on different cameras...and for what concerns the b-rolls...I grade them separately because I tend to apply some heavier grading on them.Thank you for watching and have a great day!

Great video. Would using the Cinestyle profile on the 90D work with just LUTs post in Resolve? Not sure I can remember all the individual settings each time to do it manually. :😀

Hi, What settings to save your videos did You use? Please I hace the same camera, and when Im renderizing an uploaded to YT lost ver much quality. 😢

I shoot in 24fps, 1080 or 4k doesn't matter (of course if you film in 4k it's much better) but the most important thing is that when you export it from the software (and do the rendering) do it in 4K. If you export it in 1080 the quality will be way inferior regardless if it was shot in 4K or 1080, I hope this helps.
