I just updated the firmware to get 24fps. But ALL-I would be nice. However, I used to own the 70D and I can see that the 90D has better picture in 1080p even in IPB. I use it mostly with a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8, but It would be nice to have ALL-I back...come on Canon! I wonder if using an external recorder like a ninja v would give much better quality. hmm...but I won't invest in one.

Thanks for the Update. Good news that the Latest firmware has unlocked the 24fps. This this much more Motion friendly

If you use a Ninja V recorder I believe you can get 4:2:2 10-bit recorded to ProRes or DNxHR... which is pretty incredible, really.

@@kennethearl9878 ah..24fps for 1080p and 4k yes...but I must say that the 4k is good but not as good as the 4k in my Sony A6400..however I prefer using the 90D...I'm more used to it.

Noted. This camera upgrades are focused towards the motion side. As a stills machine it is great as is the 80D

Switching to Sony....affordable....yeah sure....i will throw away all my high quality glass....for a bit better camera....if your new to photography....decide which brand....otherwise stick to your glass....glass and skills and the moment makes the photographer/videographer.....not a bit better cam....or do you dissagree?😁😉

Glass is the best investment. And Canon has a great range. We love that Sony and the LF mount allow users to swap bodies and keep existing lenses. Note better for motion than stills as the convertors do slow down AF a bit

At the moment the 90d is probably a little expensive for the upgrade. Its better for stills, but Canon hasn't made the 4K video good enough to warrant upgrading for this

I guess it's just all a matter of who you listen too. One says it's a great camera, another not so much, compared to this or compared to that, I think it just adds more confusion to the discussion. I like Canon cameras and that is what I prefer. If one prefers Nikon or Sony or Pentax or Panasonic, it just comes down to what someone likes to use or prefers. It's the same with vehicles, one likes a Ford or Chevrolet or Toyota or Honda and that list goes on and on. It just comes down to what a person prefers and what they are willing to spend. If you are a professional, then by all means buy the best camera you can afford but for most people that aren't professionals and just like to shoot some video or take some decent quality pictures, this is a good camera. For me, I'm an amateur photographer, I'm trying out the Canon 90D, so far so good for what I have done. Most all the settings in the menu, I don't know what most of the settings are for or what they do. Even reading the manual still doesn't really explain what some of those settings do to help make your photos or video look better. I enjoy photography. Occasionally I get lucky and get a nice picture of something, an animal, a sunset or sunrise, a scenery that I really liked, an object, or something that just caught my eye and I wanted a picture of it. Isn't that really what photography is, just taking picture of something that caught your eye or catching a moment in life that will never happen again? Will I keep the 90D? Well, if I come back here and find the comment, I will update whether I did or didn't.

I ordered a 90D and am waiting on its arrival. I read and observed more positive reviews than negative ones. I’m an amateur novice but I wanted to learn on a better camera. I’m not trying to become a pro, just want to take some good photos. This may not be the camera for a pro but I believe us mere mortals will be just fine. Since this review, Canon provided a firmware update for one of the frame rates some were complaining about. I have also see reviews and tutorials regarding output recording to 4K external monitors. I can’t wait to get mine and start shooting.

I'm a Nikon Z6 shooter i own 2 and a week ago bought the 90D and I loved a lot...a lot I like the images of my 90D better than my Z6s ,why because for me Canon colors and mood are better Canon has '' something '' that I really like

@@weezyg.5724 Never been a fanboy, but recently canon started to piss me off. Old third party lenses will have issues on new bodies, seems canon tried really hard to make old sigma and tamron lenses completely unusable. Funny thing is their old ancient crap lenses will work almost perfectly

Why buy this toy when you can own a Canon 7d mk2 . A real solid workhorse . With descent glass gives you awesome tack sharp images.Upgrade your lens first and see the difference.

Totally is. Have one since last week. You can even make videos with 24 FPS in HD and 4K now.

Thats a hard one. Full frame is always nice. but the 90D is newer tech. The stills performance of the 90d is very very good.

90d has 120fps in 1080p and 6d mark ii is just a full frame 80D

Sonys outdated lcds, ergonomics and color science are a deal breaker. Downsampled to 4k rolling shutter is also a deal breaker.

hey ... This video makes me not to buy canon 90d ... It is a big problem for me not having all i ... it has 120 slow motion but i think still not worth ... 60 frames per second on 80d is not king but works ...

Agreed. We find for most customers the difference between the 80d and 90d is not enough for a upgrade, The 80d is an amazing camera

The xt-3 has brilliant video, Autofocus lenses are a bit noisey though

I'm torn between the a7ii and 90d. A lot say mirrorless tho super old, it's great - the a7ii wins despite not having 4k or anything above 30fps. But I'm not sure if it's worth getting a7ii in 2019. Videography is the main aim with the camera. Which do you suggest?

A7 is full Frame. Maybe you could find a Sony A7SII for a similar price?

Just upgraded to this crap, mostly for stills. Honestly all I have with it are issues. Soft images compared to a 400D. Live view produces sharper images due to dual pixel focus only available in this mode. Also color profile problems with the new CR3 files, only app that retains camera colors is the DPP from canon which has problems as it has an aggressive noise reduction applied natively, PS and LR introduces noise even at iso100 not to mention everything shifts to adobe colors with no camera profiles. I was fooled by the megapixels, but a used 5D mk3 or even mk2 would have been a wiser investment as this produces unusable images at full resolution...
