Another Canadian here. My package just arrived from Costco through UPS today. I have skimmed the book and it is half readable. I am a Canon user from way back but this is my first DSLR I am a card maker and I learn so much online that it took me long enough but not too long to realize I could help myself by checking out KZbin. i just wanted to thank you for doing all this tutorial video. i am having a hard time understanding how my canon rebel t1i works but when i started watching your video it truly help me understand it. i am actually taking the Proud Photography class online and it doesn't really explain everything how you explained it. and its very helpful that you do a video and demonstrate it. i hope you'll continue doing this... thank you

For two weeks I am trying to wrestle through the paper manual and I still do not get. Your tutorial makes it so much easier. So far I am pretty satisfied with the camera, the only real big con is that it cannot record in 25fps mode. Either 30 or 20 fps is useless, here in Europe we need 24 and 25 fps! I hope Canon will update the firmware for recording in 24/25fps soon.

@Alpinerbergen i keep hearing this alot about the canon 500d recording.. but i saw a video shot in tokyo and it was absolutely perfect - and the owner was using a 18mm - 55mm lense kit.. and the video was fine :( this is making me think twice about buyin this camera.. although i am not buyin it for the video use..

Canon people must read his comment, since their cameras are somewhat good on taking pictures, but truely suck on videorecording. 20fps, 30fps, we do not need those useless backward features in our former civilized Europe: We use 25fps and that is what Canon need to do on our software-update: Make our cameras 25fps compatible!
