This is a lesson on the four different ways to focus while in Live View while using the Canon Rebel T1i. Most users do not know that there are 3 different auto focus modes and a zoom manual focus feature. Its just one of many great lessons on my new DVD. Enjoy!

@dorkiibooo My guess is you are shooting on an automatic mode. Turn your mode dial to P, TV, Av or M and check again. You might want to check out the Canon T1i Crash Course DVD, It will save you a lot of headaches. Best wishes

@jozafax Uh...not really....The T1i was one of only few with Live view features like this when it was shot, so I am not really sure what you are smoking, but please hate on me anyway- its the best compliment!

...Try to remember that not everyone was born with a vast cerebral database when it comes to photography; These DVD's are great for the beginner or for someone new to DSLR; As we advance our photography skills we usually forget that a beginner won't know about the basics of F Stops, ISO and Shutter Speed. These DVD's simplify all of those key fundamentals on this camera for a clueless beginner. Which at one point in time we were ALL clueless beginners. Remember???

I can't find the live view options on my camera. I have the exact same one. A Canon Rebel T1i, and I've gone to the tab where it has the LCD brightness, date/time, etc. But after sensor cleaning, there's no option for the live view settings.

Not in content. The DVD has menus which are a little easier to navigate.

Hey Michael! I was wondering is there a way the camera can have auto pulling focus? I'm trying to record myself discussing about food without any help, and it has no problem focusing on me.. But once I bring the food item (ex. A can of corn) to the lens, it won't auto focus to the can.

In manual mode and taking pictures of stars at night the focus square is in the way a lot and keeps me from seeing he stars on the screen in live view mode. Can I turn off the square? Is there some other way I can see the entire screen while focusing on stars? Thanks

When you're filming yourself and you need to move around in the frame, either closer or further to the camera will it auto focus for you or do you have to do it manually? İ have the t1i. Seems like there has to be somebody constantly behind the cam to focus for you. Please help

in live view mode, when we want to do manual focus, there is no beep for confirmation or green light, how we know our subject is on the focus or out of the focus? this issue also is othre camera like canon 7d and 5d markll, i own both of camera but i can"y use manual focus in live view. any suggestion? thanks for response.

Howcome mine is backwards. It won't let me focus in Manual (MF), but it allows for the focusing in Automatic (AF). Did I mess something up?

Well it depends. The Rebel t1i (60d) is great too. either one will get you superb images

Woops i meant 500D. that is the rebel. its just a different name for it in another country. But the Rebel T1i takes GREAT pictures!
